The number of light bulbs burned in each house during the period of its existence is probably impossible to even count. And all of them are thrown, as a rule, "nowhere." It turns out that they can find a useful application - the manufacture of interesting crafts from light bulbs. Of course, besides them, for some original little thing, other materials will also be needed, however, it will not be difficult to find them, many of them are in every house.
Balloons from light bulbs: preparing materials and tools
Balloons - crafts made of light bulbs, with which you can unusually decorate a nursery or any other room. For their manufacture, nothing special will be required, and the process itself will not take much time or effort. To begin work, of course, is necessary with the preparation of everything necessary for the future balloon.
To do this, you will need glue, a brush for painting, multi-colored wrapping paper, scissors, yarn or twine, acrylic paints, a tape about 1 cm wide, an awl, toothpicks, glitter, several small plastic animals and light bulbs. For the convenience of work, it is also necessary to have glass bottles with wide necks at hand, where you can install crafts from light bulbs for the drying period. It is worth noting that the number of light bulbs, bottle caps and animals should match the estimated number of finished balloons.
Next, it is necessary to cut 4 ovals from the wrapping paper with the pointed ends of one color and 4 of the other. The length of these parts should correspond to the height of the bulb. How exactly to do this can be seen in the figure below.
Balloon from a light bulb: how to make?
Having everything at hand you can go directly to the process of making crafts from light bulbs. With your own hands, using a brush, it is necessary to cover the entire glass surface with glue. Next, fix on the bulb 4 parts made of wrapping paper of the same color so that they get the same distance between them, which in the next step will need to be covered with blanks of a different color, without forgetting to glue the edges of the already fixed strips with glue, since parts of a different color should slightly cover the previous ones. After these steps, the bulb must be installed in a jar with a wide neck and wait for it to dry completely.
In the meantime, you can prepare a basket for future crafts from an old light bulb. To do this, take the cap from the plastic bottle and use the awl to make 4 holes on its walls. It is important that they are at the same distance from each other. Next, a kind of basket must be covered with shine. For convenience, you can stick a toothpick into one of the holes and, holding the lid behind it, paint.
Balloon assembly
While all the details of the future ball are drying, it is necessary to prepare two pieces of thick yarn or twine, the length of which is slightly larger than the two heights of the light bulb. Each thread should be folded in half and, having retreated about 2 cm from the top, tie a knot. Now you can return to the dry bulb. It is necessary to fix prepared threads on it with glue. At the same time, each of them should be fastened at different ends to opposite sides of the "ball".
The remaining ends of the bulb will be tied to a plastic cover, but this is a bit later. First, you need to paint the metal part of the future ball with bright watercolor and, after drying, paste over the place where the paper meets the paint with bright tape or ribbon. Now it remains only to put a small animal in the basket and hang the balloon in any suitable place. You can make several such crafts and place them in different parts of the room or nearby. In any case, they will delight the eyes of the owners of the house and attract the attention of their guests.
Bumblebee from an old light bulb
If you are interested in crafts from light bulbs, then you just can’t ignore the bumblebee, which will be discussed later. To make it, you will need yellow paint, a permanent black marker, a brush for drawing, scissors, black cardboard, glue, white brushes for cleaning pipes of minimum diameter, as well as plastic eyes.
First you need to paint the light bulb in stripes, alternating between yellow paint and a black marker. You should start with a yellow strip applied to the glass top. And you need to finish with a black marker, painting it with the metal tip of the bulb, on top of which after drying the paint you need to stick your eyes.
Now the wings. To make them, you should take two pieces of a brush and bend them in the form of droplets, and then attach to the back of the future bumblebee. Further, to complete the crafts from light bulbs, the master class involves cutting out of black cardboard two narrow strips about 2 inches long, which need to be slightly twisted on one side. Then stick on the metal tip just above the eyes - these will be the antennas. The finished bumblebee can be hung by the wings, simply installed on a shelf or presented to someone as a souvenir.
New Year crafts
No less interesting can be New Year's crafts made of light bulbs that can decorate a Christmas tree or just the walls of the room where the New Year will be celebrated. So, one of the easiest products to make is a snowman. To do this, you must have on hand white and black paints, glue, buttons, a brush for painting, as well as a scarf and a hat with a pompom. The last two details can be either made independently or puppetry can be used.
Making a snowman out of a light bulb
First you need to cover the glass surface with white paint. Then a row of buttons should be glued vertically, leaving an empty narrow glass part of the light bulb - on it you will need to paint the eyes, nose and mouth of the future snowman with black paint.
At the final stage of making crafts from bulbs with your own hands, you will need to tie a scarf between the buttons and the face, and put a hat on the metal tip and fix it with glue. You can make several such snowmen and decorate with them the room in which the holiday will be celebrated.
