The Carpathians are a mountain range stretching for 1,500 kilometers, covering the Central Asian lowland in an arc. Carpathian mountains are divided into South, West and East. The Southern Carpathians are located on the territory of Romania, the Eastern - on the territory of Ukraine, the Western - on the territory of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary.
