Once upon a time, Podolsk (Russia) was an ordinary village. And only by order of Catherine II did he gain the status of a city. How to get to Podolsk by bus? Very simple - there are two buses from the Yuzhnaya metro station. Such a journey will take from 65 to 72 minutes. From the Teply Stan station, several flights also run.
Well, the last option is a car. This is the longest way, and it sometimes takes almost two hours, but you can admire all the beauties of Moscow and its environs.

Podolsk, the sights of which we will consider below, is located on the Pakhra River. Previously, the shores of this reservoir were inhabited by Baltic and Finno-Ugric tribes. Later Vyatichi migrated here.
The first mention of local residents of Podil, who have chosen the territory of the current settlement, dates from 1627-1628. Then the main areas of activity of the settlement were agriculture and trade.
When the postal mill opened in the village, the economic development of Podil began. In 1781, Empress Catherine II assigned him the status of a city, renamed it Podolsk, and at the same time construction of a wooden church of the Sign of the Blessed Virgin began.
Today, the city of Podolsk is included in the list of the largest cultural and economically important centers of the Moscow Region. Its population is approximately 200 thousand people.
