Sinara Lake - the pearl of the Chelyabinsk region

Freshwater lake Sinara is one of the largest mountain lakes in the Chelyabinsk region. The reservoir has elongated forms from north-west to southeast: length - 9 kilometers, width - 4. The total area of the lake is about 2.5 thousand hectares. The average depth of the lake is 8 meters, the maximum is 14.5. The water is clear, visibility is more than 3 meters. The bottom of the reservoir is sandy and rocky. Through rivers, channels and streams, Chelyabinsk lakes are connected into a single system. Sinara is combined with the following bodies of water: Tatysh, Karaguz, Cherkaskul, Okunkul, Chigany, Chernovskoye, Tashkent and Bagaryay. The Istok River flows into the body of water, flowing from Itkul, and the water stream of the same name flows out - Sinara. Sinara Lake is a resting place for the population of the closed city of Snezhinsk and tourists coming from all over the Russian Federation.

Etymology of the name and legend

The name of the reservoir has Komi-Permian roots (the land was inhabited by these peoples in ancient times) and is translated as “spring, spring water”. But there is another explanation of the name, which is accompanied by a legend. Even during the time of the Demidov dynasty, which belonged to these places, one girl was brought here from a trip to Europe, probably a Spanish woman. Her merchant settled on the Nebad stone and upon arrival at the Karabash and Kasli factories he visited. Local people say that from longing for her homeland and loved one, she threw herself off a rocky shore and broke on stones. Large crests of waves hid her body forever. In honor of the girl, whom everyone called the "lord", and named the lake.

Sinara Nature

The lake is surrounded by a birch-pine forest on three sides. The eastern edge of Sinara is open. The coast is clean, rocky areas are replaced by beautiful sandy beaches. The pond does not overgrow, as there are practically no reeds on the lake. Among the vegetation, there are often ancient pine trees with bare roots, which are intricately intertwined. Blueberries and wild strawberries grow in large quantities in the forest. Right on the shore there are trees under which you can hide from the scorching heat. The infrastructure around the lake is quite simple: a cafe in the village of Vozdvizhenka, three shops in the same place, there is one recreation center (Sinara country house - 1.5 thousand rubles per person per day) and several houses for fishermen and hunters. Beautiful and picturesque lake Sinara! Photos completely convey the charm of this mountain pond. Of the sights, you can name only the ancient church in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God "Sign" in the village of Voskresensky. It was built at the beginning of the XIX century according to the project of architect Mikhail Malakhov. The church belongs to the best examples of classicism in the Southern Urals.

Lake ecology

On the banks of Sanara is the city of Snezhinsk and the village of Voskresenskoye. After a man-made accident in 1957, at the Mayak closed enterprise, radioactive dust did not enter the lake. So say the experts who conducted the research. Rain and meltwater from settlements flow into the reservoir without any treatment. But both Snezhinsk residents and visiting tourists bathe in the lake. In recent years, Sinara began to bloom strongly in the summer and emit a not quite pleasant smell. But the city administration claims that this process is not dangerous to human health and life. On the surface of the lake passes the boundary of the restricted area of the closed city of Snezhinsk. In winter, barbed wire fences are put up on ice. The borders of the territory are guarded by a military unit. A significant part of the coast of the lake belongs to the territory of the closed city of Snezhinsk. Arriving tourists can rest and fish only from the side of the village of Vozdvizhenka.

Recreation and fishing

For recreation and fishing on the lake, a paid option is provided. For this purpose, a specially fenced area is allocated, which is located behind the village of Vozdvizhenka. Ticket price - 500 rubles per car. The price includes parking, fishing and garbage collection. Here you can rent a boat and buy firewood. If you do not expect to pay for services, then you do not need to enter Vozdvizhenka, but you should turn east and drive along a good gravel road. It is never empty here. Even in the cold summers there are tents for vacationers and fishermen. They fish on the Sinar both from the shore and from the boat. But at a depth the fish is larger, that is, prey is more attractive. There are perches, crucian carp, large ruff, pike, whitefish, roach, tench and chebak in the lake. It is better to bring firewood with you. And garbage is recommended to be removed always and everywhere.
