Necessary materials
The most voluminous material at hand that we will need if we make a robot suit with our own hands are two packing boxes. So, we check home stocks, and if necessary, buy:

The main stages of work
Our goal is to make a robot suit. First of all, we begin to tinker with the head. At a small cardboard box, we cut off those parts that are not needed during the work. We should get a cube with one side missing.
Next, we determine which side will be the image of the face. Gently draw a cutout on it. Moreover, its shape can be any: square, rectangular, round. You can limit yourself to cutting holes for the eyes. The main thing is that they are not too small. Otherwise, the outfit will be uncomfortable. Then we cut out the resulting hole. We take the foil and paste over the part with it. Then think about how you can arrange the front part. Perhaps you decide to place buttons and levers on it. It is not worth worrying about their symmetrical arrangement: after all, robots do not have to be exactly like each other.
What a robot without an antenna
We continue to make a robot suit for a boy. This character has antennas on its head. To make them, pierce with an awl a couple of holes. Be careful: this should be the upper part of the head. The distance between the holes should be about three to four centimeters. We bend the wire so that the resulting antennas are the same size, and the gap between them is equal to the distance between the holes. After the wire is inserted, we take the tape and attach the antenna to the inside of the head. To cover holes on top, gray plasticine is suitable.
Tips are attached to the mustache. To make them, you need a foam sponge. They are cut out in shape, smeared with available glue and put on a wire.
Torso Making
Remember you stocked up with two boxes? It was the turn of the second of them, since then we make the torso. As in the manufacture of the “head”, we cut off unnecessary parts in the box. As a result, we should get a box of decent height cardboard. The bottom face should be absent. We will take care of the hole for the head. To do this, outline the borders in the upper part and cut out a round hole. The size of the circle must be made so that the head can pass freely, but the box should not fall off the shoulders either.
Inspect the robot suit that you get. Does everything suit you? If so, then you can continue the work and start cutting holes for the hands. They can be round in shape and located close to the upper torso. But there is another option: to cut wide enough gaps that would start closer to the bottom of the side borders. Then you need foil for pasting the body.
When preparing a robot suit for a boy, the front side of the body can be made using a candy box. The main thing is that she has thick walls and a hinged lid. It’s good if it matches the size of the baby’s breast. Under the finished panel, you can put disks, appliances, attach a light bulb that turns on by pressing. Then, when you open the box, you get the complete illusion that the real insides of a fantastic character appear before your eyes.
Improve the outfit
In general, the New Year’s robot costume is ready. But nothing prevents your imagination to improve it and add other details. For example, with your feet. Here without old sneakers, slippers or boots without lacing can not do. That is, it should be such shoes that you don’t have to suffer, lacing it or fastening it. You will also need two narrow and long boxes. Usually they are closed on the narrow and long side. It is sealed, and both sides of the smaller size are cut off. We paste over the resulting part with foil. And we sew shoes to the bottom of our limbs. That's it, let's go have fun from the heart.
Important additions
The size of the boxes should be the same. Their shape is not important, but for the manufacture of the upper part of the robot suit, a cube-shaped box is preferable. Foil is better culinary, in a roll. If one is not found, you can use the usual with a paper base. The foil can be replaced with a shiny gray cloth.
Cloth suit
