The opening of a major entertainment complex is always a real event for the whole city and its environs. That is exactly what happened when the Olympic water park was commissioned. Kaliningrad and all nearby settlements enthusiastically celebrated this event. What attractions can this entertainment center boast and does it work today?

A few years ago, a modern hotel complex opened in Kaliningrad on Moskovsky Prospekt. Under the proud name “Olympic”, not only rooms of various levels of comfort were combined, but also various entertainment facilities, a restaurant and everything that guests of the complex needed for a comfortable stay. There is also its own water park "Olympic". Before the opening of this hotel, Kaliningrad did not have such a large zone of water entertainment, and often the inhabitants of the city had to travel to European water centers. The hotel complex itself has a 3 * category, but despite this fact, it boasts comfortable rooms and a good level of service.
Water park rides and related activities
The water entertainment complex is located on an area of 2500 square meters. It consists of three pools, several slides of various difficulty levels and a variety of attractions: geysers, fountains and hydromassage installations. It’s not boring to spend the whole day in the water park. There is a swimming pool with four lanes and a water entertainment area. There are rides for every taste, among them there are high-speed slopes and ordinary slides that will appeal to those who do not seek to get the maximum dose of adrenaline. Also, the Olympic water park (Kaliningrad) boasts an artificial “river” with flow effects, a Jacuzzi, hydromassage settings for all areas of the body, built into a large pool. You can relax after swimming and visiting water attractions by visiting the Turkish bath or Finnish sauna. There is also a room for medical diagnostics, manual therapy and a beauty salon for guests.
Does the water entertainment complex work today?
Back in 2014, reports appeared in the press that the Olympic water park (Kaliningrad) had been closed. According to the media, the complex stopped its work suddenly, without prior announcements. The holders of regular sports classes subscriptions once came to the next training session and found a large inscription “closed”. Of course, this situation outraged all residents of the city, since today in Kaliningrad there are no other water centers similar in equipment. It is worth noting that after this the water park still opened. And then it closed again. At the same time, the administration of the hotel complex does not comment on this situation. Do not forget that the hotel and the Olympic water park (Kaliningrad) have been put up for sale for quite some time. Perhaps, in new hands after rebranding, the complex will delight residents and visitors of the city with even more interesting attractions and entertainments.
