In the modern world, for various holidays, more often, as a gift, guests give money. And, of course, it has long been unfashionable to put them in white envelopes. The market presents many different options for them on a variety of topics, with a variety of pictures and inscriptions. But still, nothing can be compared with the amount of money invested in an envelope for money, made with your own hands. Indeed, a special love and respect for the hero of the occasion is enclosed in such a gift. And it is unlikely that he will raise a hand to throw such an original part of the gift.
So, to make an envelope for money, you need scrapbook paper, A4 paper (pastel or watercolor paper), a
stationery knife, glue, a ruler, a writing pen and jewelry (beads, flowers, ribbons, rhinestones, lace and all that is found).
First you need to draw cardboard with a ruler and a non-writing pen. It’s better not to do this with a pencil, so as not to leave marks that can then not be erased with an eraser. It is important that this be the A4 format, no less. After all, we make an envelope for money with our own hands, and the bills must necessarily lie there fully spread out, and not folded. We set ourselves a sheet in a horizontal position. We measure across two times 11 cm, drawing lines under the ruler, pressing the handle firmly. Thus, we get two parts of 11 centimeters and one part - 9. Next, measure the centimeter from above and below, draw the lines again. Now cut along the lines above and below with a clerical knife, leaving a centimeter strip in the middle part. Then we bend the envelope along the existing lines. The part, which has a width of 9 cm, can be curly cut out or made semicircular. She is the future valve, therefore it will be prettier if her form is interesting. Parts of 11 cm must be glued together, while bending the pieces one centimeter inward. Here the cardboard has already taken the form of an envelope. Now you need to cut out three strips of sizes corresponding to three sides from scrapbook paper and stick them to cardboard. Next, you need to take a ribbon and stick it in the middle through the entire envelope, leaving long tips for ties. The front part of the envelope can be decorated with various half beads, flowers, lace. The last stage - we tie the ribbons in a neat bow, and the envelope for the money with your own hands is ready.
There are many options and patterns for homemade envelopes. Let's consider one more. It differs in the way of opening / closing. The first part exactly repeats the previous method. Except for the curly side. No need to cut it, it should be even.
Made an envelope. Next, cut off a strip measuring 6x30 cm. Its edges can be treated with a figured hole punch (if any) and an ink pad. We wrap a strip around the envelope and fold it. Glue the tips.
