First of all, you must carefully choose a watermelon. To avoid trouble, a cleaning cycle should be planned in late summer - early fall: during this period, a watermelon diet does not pose any danger. Watermelons by this time already ripen in a natural way, and the chances of running into a fruit stuffed with nitrates are much less. The early watermelons, bought on the market in early July, are unlikely to help you improve your health - their ripening was clearly artificially accelerated.
When choosing a watermelon, pay attention to its tail: in ripe it should be dry. You can also determine its maturity by tapping on the crust: experts say that the sound of a ripe watermelon is deaf. In addition, a slight crackle when squeezing indicates its maturity. Unfortunately, it is possible to determine that a watermelon is crammed with nitrates only after purchasing it. Carefully consider the slice: a watermelon, ripened in a natural way, is grainy, and with the help of nitrates it is smooth. The flesh color, dark red, with a violet tint, should alert. The yellow or red color of its fibers indicates an excess of nitrates in the watermelon - normally they are white. If you have at least the slightest suspicion that the watermelon is โoverfedโ with nitrates, it is better not to use it: a watermelon diet in this case will not only not help to heal, but will also harm your body.
There are several diet options for watermelons. The simplest and most gentle is to replace one of the meals with them (better evening). A lightweight watermelon diet can also look like this: you eat as usual, but before each meal (about half an hour) eat 300-500 grams of watermelon pulp. This should be done within 7 days. For obesity caused by diabetes of any type, a watermelon diet is also contraindicated. You can probably achieve weight loss while observing it, but you can seriously harm your body.

Those who adhere to this variant of it, Semenova also recommends daily, at about three in the morning (the time when the kidneys are most active) there is a watermelon in a warm bath - this helps to relax the urinary system and remove sand from it. However, without consulting a doctor, this method is better not to use, especially for those who are diagnosed with urolithiasis.
