A large number of graphic environments have been created for artists and designers, where they can bring to life the most unusual projects. Some users choose Adobe Photoshop. It has everything you need for drawing and editing your images. The main tool "Brush" is equipped with all important and additional settings. With it, you can both draw a background, and draw an image in detail, and much more. Convenient work with layers allows you to feel comfortable in this environment.
How to draw a background
This is an extremely important process, as the background image sets the rhythm of the picture as a whole. Before you draw a background, you need to understand the background layer. This layer appears automatically when you create a new document in the program. Initially, it is locked, i.e. it cannot be moved using a tool designed to drag and drop objects. This layer does not need to be changed, since the unlocked layer will be affected by movement. You can draw on it, but many recommend creating a new layer and drawing objects on it. Thus, it is possible to eliminate the conflict of brushes when, for example, the use of an eraser will entail the erasure of all objects that come into hand.
Brush Tool
This is the main element for drawing in layers and in the image as a whole. This tool has huge functionality. For example, in the settings you can change the stiffness, color and shape of the tip. โPhotoshopโ has a built-in support function for downloadable elements; the user is able to download any brush shape from the network for his own purposes.
So, to draw the background in Photoshop, you need:
- Activate the Brush tool and use the right mouse button to call up the context menu with the settings.
- After setting up the tool, create a new working layer where the drawn element will be located, which will become the background.
Use pictures, tips or just your imagination before you paint the background. Space, landscapes, art objects and much more can be very accurately duplicated in this graphic environment. Some users make their life much easier with the following actions:
- Find the image and paste it into the editor.
- Using the Brush, Eyedropper and Eraser tools, they draw a background on top of their source.
This method is great for beginners and those who have entry-level drawing skills. The same method creates 2D pixel backgrounds.
Other drawing attributes
In addition to the "Brush" function, the program has an auxiliary set of tools.
- "Eraser". Its task is to erase created or drawn objects, surplus, irregularities. It is almost indispensable when working with brushes, since only this tool can correct an unsuccessfully drawn line.
- "Pipette". This feature is useful for quickly highlighting and adding color. Great for those who retouch photos.
- Sets of figures. Oddly enough, but they can also come in handy when working with the background. It is not always possible to accurately draw geometric objects with a brush.
