The car "Loaf", as the van was once called, was released by the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant. This name the car received because of its appearance. The story of the "Loaf"

Most of the cars that received the UAZ emblem on the hood were assembled for official purposes during the Union. Such models did not enter retail sales, but were widely used by the military, police, and other government departments.

The first prototype of the modern UAZ-29891 was a van manufactured in 1955 at UlZIS (the UAZ factory was then called) with one rear door, a flat bottom and a convex front. Under the orders of individual enterprises, the door configuration changes, individual units inside (as in an ambulance), but the main parameters remain constant.

In 1985, a large modernization of production took place, but the Loaf, changing the serial numbers, as well as part of the components, continued to go off the assembly line. Most of the parts were new, but some continuity with the original units remains. In this case, the reason is that strong changes will hit the hallmark of the old "Loaf" - cross-country ability. Dependent suspension is used in both bridges of the car, which is a necessary condition for maintaining high clearance when moving large obstacles or when moving at an angle.

  • 3962 (39629) and 39625 - ambulances. The first one has fasteners for a stretcher, a partition with a sliding window between the driver and the rear, and places for installing sanitary equipment. It is equipped with flashing beacons and rotary lamps on the roof. The second does not have external beacons, but inside it differs only in the interior - there are no special fasteners for a stretcher or equipment. At UAZ Hunter, for example, the only external difference from the 469th model was the roof. So the UAZ-29891 appeared. The photo of him, presented below, differs in only one detail from the “Sanitary Woman” 39625, whose photo see above, by the absence of red crosses on the case.

And if the “Goat” subsequently became the “Hunter”, then the appearance of the “Loaf” remained the same. Instead of the old models, new versions of the old cars appeared. So it happened with the UAZ-29891. Reviews of this model practically word for word repeat what is noted in 2206, 396255 or 39095.

Despite the fact that UAZ is actively promoting the Patriot and other models, the Loaf is still going to the factory, one of the representatives of which can be called the UAZ-29891. Although the specifications for this model are difficult to find, it is not much different from the UAZ-2206 minibus, the UAZ-39625 Sanitary Wagon, or the UAZ Combi variant .
