Nowadays, the telescopic rod is one of the most popular gear. The range of its application includes both traditional fishing with a float, and the summer version of fishing for mormyshka. The telescopic rod can be used for nesting and bottom fishing with light equipment. It is intended for flywheel casting, therefore special requirements are imposed on its strength. Telescopic rods must withstand high dynamic loads. Despite this, their mass must be minimal so that they can be held in their hands for a long time.

The telescopic rod consists of several elbows (tubes) of different diameters, falling into each other. They are moved apart with the help of small rings fixed at the ends of these knees. The fishing line is also supported on these rings, the length of which, thanks to the reel, can be adjusted in large ranges. Due to its design, such a fishing rod allows the fisherman to quickly change its size. The advantage of such fishing tackle is primarily its length, which sometimes reaches 10 m.
The use of vacuum technology for the manufacture of knees and high-modulus carbon fiber in the production of these fishing tackle allows you to reduce the weight of the telescopic fishing rod to a minimum. These production features also contribute to increasing the rigidity of the rods. On sale there are models with throughput rings and without them. Most of them are equipped with special high-speed reel seat holders. Their surface has a special texture, which contributes to the comfortable holding of fishing rods in hands.
The modern telescopic rod is very easy to handle. Some models are so compact that they can even be worn on the belt. If necessary, you can remove the cap limiter and disconnect or replace any of the knees of the rod. It also allows (if necessary) to extend or shorten the
telescopic fishing rod, as well as to attach the equipment as desired.
Despite all its advantages, such rods also have disadvantages. The joints of the knees break most often, although their walls are reinforced with special metal rings. The most acceptable is the ratio between the length of the knee and its joint 6: 1. Leaky connection of segments during fishing is also unacceptable, since the lever forces arising in these places can disable the entire structure. When fishing the fish, all parts of the fishing rod must be fully extended.
Many professional anglers claim that carp telescopic rods are unsuitable for fishing. For fishing this type of fish really requires very long fishing rods, but at the same time they must be very strong. That is why the vast majority of carp rods have two parts (butt section (bottom) and top). Connections of
cyprinids should have clamping nozzles or bushings.
In order for the telescopic rod to serve for many years, it is necessary to observe simple rules for its operation: timely clean the joints of the knees from contamination; do not allow turns at the joints; assembly must be done only starting from the top; disassembly is carried out starting from the bottom.
