Not all of us dream of Olympic medals and are ready to spend our lives and health on sports achievements. Meanwhile, the absolute majority has a desire to maintain themselves in sports form, especially since now a sports figure and good physical tone, as they say, are βin trendβ. This article is intended for those who have chosen boxing classes for themselves.
This sport is good in that for amateur training you do not need a lot of space or a special room, just a punching bag. At the same time, fifteen minutes of working with it will easily replace several kilometers of running or cycling. In order for the trainings to be fun, but not tormented, and after them it was not necessary to run to the traumatologist, the punching bag must be selected correctly.
Now the buyer is offered an incredibly wide selection of any products. And among them, punching bags are also presented in a huge assortment. How to choose the one you need?
The first thing to keep in mind: a punching bag should suit you. This means that the choice should be guided by their anthropometric and physical data, and not by the ideas gleaned from feature films and the advice of boxing enthusiasts.
Boxing pears are divided into three categories: heavy, medium and light. Heavy weigh from 60 to 110 kilograms and are suitable for practicing almost any shock. A heavy punching bag is universal and probably the most demanded. When choosing such a pear, it should be remembered that its weight should approximately correspond to the weight of the athlete, fortunately, a large spread (from 60 to 110 kilograms) allows this to be done. However, such equipment is quite expensive and requires reinforced fastening, and therefore it is used, as a rule, only in sports halls.
An average punching bag weighs from 30 to 60 kilograms and has a specific shape, thanks to which the shell, in fact, got its name. It does not take up much space and does not require special fasteners, but the range of blows that can be worked out on it is limited. For a tall and heavy fighter, such a pear is unlikely to be useful.
Lightweight punching bag weighs up to thirty kilograms and is used to train children. It is usually stuffed with scraps of fabric, and it itself is made of leatherette.
There is also a specific uppercut bag, but such a shell is only suitable for working out a certain type of blows, as its name suggests.
Having decided what kind of punching bag you need, you should pay attention to what it is made of and what it is stuffed with. In any case, you should not buy a pear covered in faux leather: no matter how good it is, it will not last long. The other two options - leather and tarpaulin - have their pros and cons, but the main difference is the price.
An important factor in choosing a punching bag is its "rigidity". This parameter is entirely dependent on the filler. Most often this is sand with sawdust, but rubber crumb is considered the most suitable. The pear should be tested: it should not be βstoneβ, but the fist should not fall into it either. In general, when choosing sports equipment, it is best to buy products from well-known, well-established manufacturers.
