Often a situation arises when you do not know how to take a screenshot, but it is simply necessary. That is, you need to take a picture of the monitor screen with all its contents or part of the screen. A screenshot of the screen is called a Screenshot (or a screenshot in Russian).
The screenshot, as we have already noted, is a screenshot of the computer screen, that is, an image of what the user sees on the monitor.

In other words, whether you work, play or study, the question may always arise how to take a screenshot. There are two ways to create a monitor photo: standard using the “Print Screen” (prt scr) button or using the program. Let's start with the simpler method that is used most often.
Print Screen Button
In the event that you have to take screenshots quite rarely, it is best to use the “Prt Scr” button on your keyboard or Print Screen. To do this, simply click on it. You will not feel any changes. However, the monitor screen will already be photographed, and the image is currently on the clipboard. You just have to extract it and save it. To do this, you must use the Paint or Photoshop program. And if the latter can not be installed on all computers, then Paint is a standard program that allows you to save the created photo of the monitor.
To save the image, click on the "Start" button and select "All Programs". A large list will open, in which we are looking for "Standard". Here we open the Paint program. When the program loads and is ready for work, click on the “Clipboard” button and select “Paste”. Or you can simply press the key combination Ctrl and V. The snapshot will be inserted automatically. If Office 2003 is installed on your computer, then select the "Edit" tab and the "Insert" line in it. Now we see the necessary image of your monitor and already know how to take a screenshot. It remains only to save the image in the required format and use it in work, show it to friends or on the forum. To do this, select "Save As" and save the file in the desired folder.
Scissors
If you have installed Windows 7 or Windows Vista, then by default in the "Standard" you will find the program "Scissors", which will make the screenshot even easier. Open the program. You will see a window where it is proposed to select the necessary area. You select the area of ​​cursors that you want to insert into the work or show to friends, and it automatically gets into the program. Now all that remains is to save the drawing in the required format.
There are other programs that help resolve the issue of how to take a screenshot. These are programs such as Floomby, Magic Screenshot, PrtScr and others. But these two methods are used most often and do not require you to install additional software on your computer.
