The tourism potential of the Middle East of Jordan is showing itself more and more. The number of travelers visiting its beaches is growing every year. But not only snorkeling and diving in the Red Sea attracts tourists to this country. Jordan also owns part of the coast of a unique natural salt hospital. And rest on the shores of the Dead Sea will be cheaper here than similar in Israel.
In Jordan, there is the Wadi Rum desert, the mysterious city of Petra, lost in the sands, hundreds of years old architectural structures, Christian shrines. By the way, biblical scholars claim that Jesus was baptized in Jordan, and not in the place that is shown in Israel for a lot of money.
The easiest way to get to the Hashemite kingdom from Russia is by air. And all the travelers, no matter where and why they go - on a pilgrimage, to the beaches, to the Dead Sea hospitals or to look at Petra - are interested in one question: how long to fly to Jordan from Moscow. We will try to answer this in our article.
What affects the flight time
The distance between Moscow and Jordan's capital Amman is less than 3,000 km. More precisely, 2 648 km. But even if you fly a direct direct flight, the time spent on board can be different, because it depends on many factors. First of all, how much fly to Jordan from Moscow is affected by the brand of the liner. Some of the cars have a speed of 700 km / h, others more or less. Weather conditions also play a role here. The headwind can delay the flight by half an hour, and the tailwind can accelerate. Of great importance is the concept of "air corridor." It greatly affects the duration of flights, because the sky over territories where armed conflicts take place is often closed to civilian aircraft for the safety of passengers and crew.
And finally, takeoff and landing airports matter. And if in Moscow Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo are (by the standards of modern aeronautics) almost nearby, then in Jordan two hubs are separated by many kilometers.
Jordan: how much to fly from Moscow by direct flight?
Naturally, to assume that getting anywhere would be faster without transfers. As for the route Moscow-Jordan, then the passengers were lucky. They have the opportunity to travel without any transplants. The range of Moscow airports from which you can start the journey is quite wide - all large, except for auxiliary hubs. The inconvenience of flying a direct scheduled flight is only that they land in the capital of Jordan. If you are interested in the airport of Aqaba (named after King Hussein), then only charters depart from Moscow in the summer season. Flights to Amman are regularly operated by Royal Jordanian and S7 Airlines (Siberia Airlines). The choice of an air carrier has little effect on how much a direct (non-stop) flight flies to Moscow from Jordan. Both companies serve almost the same cars for the ladder. Therefore, the time spent on board will be four hours.
Aqaba Airport
But most package tourists are not interested in Amman at all. Many visit the country for its wonderful beaches. The only city in Jordan on the Red Sea is Aqaba. It also has its own airport, with international status. But from Russia only charters fly there, and even then in the summer. Flights are operated by Etihad Airways, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways, AZUR AIR and North Wind. How long does it take to fly to Jordan from Moscow if we are interested in Aqaba as our destination? Just look at the map of the Middle East country to understand that the resort is located in the extreme south, while the capital is in the center. And this means that the flight to Aqaba will be three quarters of an hour longer.
Moscow-Jordan: how many hours fly with transfers
Experienced travelers know that sometimes two flights are cheaper than one, so budget tourists fly with transfers. This, of course, lengthens the path, but does not hit the pocket. The time between take-off in Moscow and landing in Amman or Aqaba in this case depends on the number of transfers and waiting at transit airports. Therefore, before deciding to fly, you need to carefully study all the offers of companies. For example, if you fly through Istanbul, the travel time will be only seven hours. Not so bad when you consider the cost savings. And if you decide to make Abu Dhabi or Athens a transit airport, then you will reach Jordan in only 20-25 hours. This is rather inconvenient. You will spend about seven hours in the sky, and spend the rest of the time waiting for a connecting flight.
To Aqaba with transfers
How to get to this resort is even more interesting for travelers than the question of how much to fly to Jordan from Moscow. After all, there is simply no direct direct flight to Aqaba from the capital of the Russian Federation. Some travelers try to get hooked on a charter, but at the peak of the season all the places on the liners are occupied by "package" tourists who have bought vouchers. There is a second way: fly with transfers. The fastest option is via Istanbul. So you get to the resort in ten hours. You can fly to Amman, and from there by local airlines to Aqaba. Such a journey will last 11 hours and 45 minutes.
