Among fans of a fandom - a book, a movie, a series, a cartoon, or another piece of art - a phenomenon like shipping is common. This word comes from the English relationship - "relationship". The meaning of the term is that fans want two characters from their favorite fandom to have a romantic relationship. Such a pair does not have to exist in reality (according to the canon). Moreover, characters can even come from different universes and never contact.

Princess Celestia
Celestia is a white pony alicorn with a mane and tail, consisting of four colors: pastel blue, turquoise, lilac and purple. Her eyes are lilac, and the cutimark is the golden sun. Celestia rules Equestria with her younger sister Luna. One of her duties is to raise the sun at the right time so that night changes into day. Princess Celestia is a kind and fair ruler. She is not at all arrogant and communicates with subjects as equal to herself.
Discord
Discord is one of the many antagonists of the animated series. His name translates as “discord” and “disagreement,” which is not surprising: Discord is the god of Chaos, capable of distorting reality and changing physical laws as he wishes. Its appearance is also extremely unusual: the Discord body consists of parts of different animals - a pony, a lion, a griffin, a dragon and others.
The first appearance of this character occurs in the episode "Return of Harmony 1", when the god of Chaos tries to steal the Elements of Harmony and capture Equestria, but the pony manages to defeat him by imprisoning him in stone. And after some time, the series “Re-education in the Fluttershy House” is released, in which Discord changes and becomes an ally from the enemy. Nevertheless, he is still not trusted and controlled.

Despite the many differences between Celestia and Discord, they also have a lot in common. Both of them at different times were the rulers of Equestria and have an unclear past. On the Internet you can find artworks created by fans, which depicts the son of Celestia and Discord: according to the assumptions, he could look like a creature with the body of alicorn and parts of other animals.
