Nizhny Novgorod Chamber Musical Theater. Stepanova - almost the youngest among the similar in the city, he was "born" in 1991. The backbone of the troupe is made up of graduates of the local conservatory specializing in playing operettas. The main genres of today's theater are musicals and vaudevilles, many of which have been sold out for years and are popular with both Nizhny Novgorod and residents of other cities. About the founder
Vladimir Timofeevich Stepanov hails from Novosibirsk, was born in 1930. After studying at the Saratov State Conservatory. Sobinova, later was a leading soloist of the famous opera houses (Academic Opera and Ballet Theater of Nizhny Novgorod, State Opera and Ballet Theater of Ankara). In 1989, he created and headed the Nizhny Novgorod Chamber Musical Theater. He was the People's Artist of Russia and Tatarstan.
Over his entire creative life, Vladimir Stepanov has performed more than fifty major parties. Each of his new opera parts was a landmark for the musical world of Nizhny Novgorod. The spectators recall with particular warmth about his concert programs dedicated to the names of the great Russian chansonniers, including A. Vertinsky, P. Leshchenko and V. Kozin.
The last and favorite thing of the master was a new young theater, where he worked until his death. Any change in emphasis in his work responded to the constant spectator interest and success. For students, Vladimir Timofeevich was not only a teacher, but also a stage partner who could always teach, support and instill confidence in himself. - “Donna Lucia” - a musical based on the film “Hello, I am your aunt!” with modern arrangements of wonderful melodies by O. Feltsman.
