How to make a presentation in PowerPoint: milestones

The development of computer technology inevitably affected each of us to a greater or lesser extent. It’s hard to imagine that some fifteen years ago we were only getting acquainted with a mobile phone. And now almost every first grader has it. The same goes for computers.

According to the accepted standards, a computer and an interactive whiteboard should be present in every class today. The ability of a teacher to use computer programs is very important. But, for example, not everyone knows how to make a presentation for the lesson. But the success of the educational process depends to some extent on this skill.

Older people may mistrust this fact, because they studied without such modern means. But our children are surrounded by a huge amount of information coming from outside. And modern schools should adapt to this course of things, not yield to technological progress, in order to convey to students the necessary knowledge and make them as accessible as possible for children's perception.

Many teachers, faced with the need to use a computer in class, faced with this problem: they do not know how to make a presentation. As a teacher, I know from experience how well children absorb information if it is conveyed to them through the monitor screen. Therefore, I decided to tell you about the main stages of work at Microsoft Power Point and how to make a presentation on a computer.

Beginning of work

On the desktop, click on the start menu - all programs - Microsoft Office - Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007. In this application, we will use two main tabs: the main and the design. Since making a good presentation with the presence of videos and transitions is a difficult task for a beginner, we will create the simplest model for a start.

We will start with the presentation. Before us is now an empty white slide with the title and subtitle frames. We need to make it beautiful. To do this, we click the “Design” tab. Small icons appear, these are themes of various colors with the letters A. printed on them. By clicking on the down arrow, we will see several options for making the presentation more vivid and attractive. If none of these topics fits you, there is the line “Other topics” below. When you follow the link, you can select and download the theme that you need to your computer. It will be displayed on each slide that you create.

Change the color of slides

The tab “background styles” will help us find variations in the presentation design already in the selected topic. This is necessary, for example, to set a lighter or contrasting palette on a slide. So, using the “Color” tab, you select the appropriate option. Please note that at this time not only the color of the slide, but also its font may change. It is not necessary to select one color, setting it as the default for the entire presentation. You can use the cursor over a sample to see how the topic will look in action. Here, on the "Font" tab, you can choose a readable style for writing text.

Create a new slide

In the main menu, we click the “Create slide” tab and select the desired layout. For example, this is a “Object with a signature” layout. In the title, we will write the theme of the slide (title), add text to the next window. Keep in mind that these fields can be swapped, stretched and reduced in size.

Now add a picture or photo. In the large window, among the different icons, there is a picture “Insert a picture from a file”. By clicking on it, you find yourself in the menu of your computer, from which you can select the appropriate picture. There is another option for adding a picture. If you liked the picture on the Internet, you simply copy it into the presentation. First, click on the picture with the right mouse button, select “Copy”, and then paste it into the presentation. If the image is too large, then using the small squares that appear around the picture, you can edit the element by reducing it to the desired format.

End of work

Thus, by creating the required number of slides, you save the presentation on the computer. To do this, in the upper left corner, click the round Office button and select "Save As." After that, you can safely leave your work without fear of losing the created presentation. To view the finished work in full screen mode, use the glass icon at the bottom, and to exit this mode, use the Esc key on the keyboard.

That's all the basic work steps in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007, which are necessary for a beginner. I hope that now the question of how to make a presentation on a computer will no longer be a problem for you.
