Newsletters, notifications, letters - a very broad concept that can be found in various fields. Therefore, it is worth briefly analyzing its essence and some particular features.
Parsing a concept
An informational message is a concise text containing data that is news to its readers. The reason for its creation is an informational occasion. Such a message can also be defined as informative information transmitted both in writing and in various electronic ways. Most often, the concept is associated with information agencies, radio stations, television, periodicals, etc. Information publications thus form the information panorama of the day.
An informational message is also a group of interconnected elementary data elements. It may contain at least two such overlapping components.
The structure of the information message
Speaking of what an informational message is, we briefly touch upon the ideas of its structure by some theorists.
M. Grigoryan believes that the information message makes three factors interesting for the audience. This is the presence of a certain conflict, proximity in space and time. The parameters of the correct information message should be as follows:
- unusual factors - the news of an extraordinary event, a person who does not fit into the framework of everyday life;
- the availability of information about celebrities - not only "at the parade", but also about their personal lives, hobbies, daily routines;
- affecting a wide audience - any event is more interesting if a large number of people take part in it.
According to Kolesnichenko, any informational publication consists of three important components:
- core - the element is always located at the beginning of the message and immediately reveals all information about the event that interests the reader; it is always placed here that primarily interests a person;
- details - here the basic information is supplemented by a number of interesting information, circumstances;
- background - a text that is not directly related to an informational occasion, but helps to understand its essence (statistics, historical background, excerpt from the dictionary, etc.)
Finally, we analyze the position of Tretyakov. He believes that the information message should have at least three substantial layers:
- basic information - bare facts, details;
- primary objective commentary - information that places a message in a series of similar ones, determining their relationship;
- secondary objective comment - here the reader sees the forecast of the development of the event;
- subjective commentary (optional part) - the opinion of the direct participant, expert, observer, etc.

The task specified a certain message volume (say, 5 Kb) and the number of characters in it (randomly - 2560 ) It was proposed to find the number of characters of the alphabet with which this message was written.
To solve it, it was necessary to know only one formula - the power (number of characters) of the alphabet: N = 2 i (N - power, i - bit / character).
Using our values, we calculate how many bits one character "weighs": 5Kb / 2560 = 5 * 1024 bytes / 2560 = 5120/2560 = 2 bits. Now we substitute the value in the formula: N = 2 2 = 4 characters in this alphabet.

Many of us are familiar with informational messages not from a computer science course, but as a result of using a smartphone. Here it is pop-up messages of informational, entertaining, cognitive nature that appear on the screen of the gadget. They are usually not stored in the phone.
