However, when the task is to calculate the root in Excel, the square is not always implied. To calculate the root of any degree, you should use another way - using the mathematical meaning of the root. By definition, the value of the root of the nth degree is the number that must be raised to the power of n to get the expression under the root.
Thus, to get the root value of the nth degree, it is enough to raise the number to the inverse power - 1 / n. To calculate the root in Excel in this way, you can also use one of the possible solution algorithms. The first one is to use the function, the second is to explicitly indicate the action.
Having pressed the button "Insert function", it is necessary to write "degree" in the search line and select the corresponding function. In the window that opens, there will be two fields - in the first you need to specify a number, and in the second - the degree to which it needs to be raised.
