The latter is famous for not losing memory when scaling. This is because it works not with points, but with vectors - coordinate equations. Raster and vector graphics programs work with different types of images and the result is also different.

Three-dimensional special effects and special effects in real time, a large number of drawing tools - all this makes Adobe Illustrator a powerful vector graphics program. It is not in vain that for so much time he has not lost his popularity, but only gains it - by virtue of relevance.
Free analogues
The two previous programs under consideration only confirm the rule that you have to pay for quality. Both Corel and Illustrator officially cost a lot of money. Of course, it’s not so difficult to find pirated versions, repacks and portable options on the Internet for free, but not the licensed original.

When they talk about free analogues of vector products, Inkscape is remembered first. And not in vain. It can be safely put in one row of Illustrator, and in terms of cost and system load, it will even bypass it by a couple of points.

This software tool is also not for amateurs. It is a pleasure for professionals to use for their work.
Creature House Expression is divided into two periods in its history.
For the first time he declared himself as an innovative software product. The fact is that one of the drawbacks of vector graphics is the difficulty of obtaining a "live" image. The raster (in which, for example, photos are edited) copes with this much better. It was Creature House Expression that tried (and very successfully, I must say) to fix it. The set of brushes in this product turned out to be so amazing that in the end it turned out that you could draw with a vector as if it were not a vector graphic at all. Images were very realistic.
In 2003, Microsoft bought the company producing Expression, standardized it, gave its name. But the original and, importantly, free version of this software can still be downloaded from the official website of its current manufacturer-owner.
Microsoft Expression Design
Microsoft Expression Design - this is the new name of the software product discussed in the previous paragraph. And yes, this version is also completely free. True, only for students, and in order to receive it, it is necessary to send a special request confirming this status. The answer to it comes pretty quickly.
Microsoft Expression Design has moved away from its origins and, as already mentioned, is now more suited to the "standards" of a vector graphics editor. But it still has a lot of functions, and all the tools completely satisfy the average illustrator or web designer.
Aviary raven
The absence of the need not only for payment but also for installation distinguishes this program. Yes, that's right, Aviary Raven works online. And this would lower her status in the eyes of many, if not for one but - she is far from primitive.
Pre-registration allows you to save your masterpieces on your account and then export them. And to create these masterpieces Aviary Raven provides many features, tools and options. Yes, this is not a full-fledged vector editor, but it is very close to it. 3D vector graphics
