“Sublimation of Love” - a play based on the comedy play Aldo de Benedetti. In the Italian version, the name sounds like this: "Paola and the Lions." There are only three characters: a middle-aged deputy Leone Savasta, a young writer Paola - an energetic and sharp-tongued woman, and a loser writer Pietro Degani. Situation comedy is a genre where many events take place unexpectedly, and the main plot conflict arises absolutely by accident.
Degani lives in the same house with MP Savast. One day, Pietro accidentally lands in Leon's apartment. He witnesses how the deputy is trying to seduce Paola. But he does not manage to win the heart of a young girl, he is hindered in this by age, the lack of male charm and unromantic nature. But the Deputy is not going to retreat from his goal and wants to achieve Paola by all means.
There is an acquaintance of Pietro and Savasta. Degani complains to the deputy that he wrote many plays, but no one publishes them, and theaters do not stage performances on them. Leone agrees to publish Pietro’s works under his own name, so that, passing off other people's plays as his own, subdue Paola with talent and attract her attention.
