The news that a maniac appeared in the Orenburg region shocked local residents. It was published on social networks in the spring of 2013. After some time, the staff of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported that the identity of the suspect in the commission of sexual violence was established - he was 55-year-old trucker Valery Andreev. According to reports, the murderer abducted and raped women in the age range from 17 to 40 years. He was immediately put on the international wanted list, and for information about where the rapist might be, a reward of half a million rubles was promised.
When did it all start?

Where could the criminal possibly be located?

A person who has committed a series of brutal murders and rapes in the Orenburg region should be subjected to the most severe punishment, so he was put on the international wanted list, and those who have reliable information about the whereabouts of the murderer, law enforcement agencies promised a substantial monetary reward.

In Orsk, a press conference was organized at which the head of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, Aleksey Smolkov, tried to put an end to the discussion about whether Andreev was arrested or continued to walk free.
“The Investigative Committee conducts operational-search measures, and the police provide all possible assistance in this. I can unequivocally say the following: the investigation is being conducted in the most thorough manner, and sooner or later the guilty will appear before the court for his atrocities, ”Smolkov said.
Some time ago, the image of the rapist and the killer was updated. It depicts a man with a mustache and beard. It is likely that in the few years that Andreev was hiding from the police, he greatly changed his appearance.
