Drama Theater (Krasnodar) began its existence in the early 20th century. He has a great and worthy story. His repertoire is rich and designed for viewers of different ages.
History
It has always been the cultural center of the southern part of Russia, Krasnodar. The Drama Theater appeared here in 1909. The building for him was built on the corner of Gogol and Krasnaya streets. It was called at that time the Winter Theater. At first, there was no troupe in the city, and the audience of Krasnodar enjoyed the art of artists who came exclusively on tour. Both L. Sobinov and F. Chaliapin visited here. His troupe appeared in Krasnodar in 1920. Such outstanding personalities as V. Meyerhold, D. Furmanov and S. Marshak were involved in its creation.
The drama theater (Krasnodar) opened its first season with the play "Petty Bourgeois" based on a play by M. Gorky. For 2 months, the troupe, consisting of 40 artists, presented the public with 11 premieres. From 1932 to the present day, the theater bears the name of Maxim Gorky. In 1973, he received a new building on the October Revolution Square, which was later renamed the Theater. The repertoire of Krasnodar drama consists of plays by classics and modern playwrights.

Theater guests
Drama Theater (Krasnodar) receives famous guests on its stage. Olga Ostroumova and Valentin Gaft performed here . They presented the performance "Valya, Valechka, Valyusha" to the Kranodar public. It is dedicated to the anniversary of the artist.
The play “Only Women in the Hall” was brought to Krasnodar by theater and film stars Tatyana Vasilyeva, Stanislav Sadalsky, Oleg Okulich, Grigory Siyatvinda. This is the story of one office that is getting ready for March 8th. Men try to organize a holiday for their female colleagues. They rehearse numbers and greetings. The cleaning lady gives them holiday tips. This is a musical comedy performance. It has a lot of songs and dances.
With the production of "Little Comedies", the Krasnodar drama theater receives Maria Aronova, Mikhail Policeitsimako and Sergei Shakurov. The play is based on the immortal Chekhov stories “The Proposal” and “The Bear”.
