New Lviv Airport: information and photos

Lviv is the largest city in Western Ukraine. It has always attracted tourists with its hospitality, comfort and many attractions. Just getting into the city by air was not easy. The old terminal could not provide a sufficient level of service and simply could not cope with just a few flights a day.

Everything has changed thanks to the reception of Euro 2012. By the beginning of the matches, a new stadium and terminal of the terminal were built in the city, fully meeting modern standards of comfort and safety. Now it is available to everyone, and the Lviv airport itself can be called one of the decorations of the city.

Terminal 1 building is temporarily closed. The possibility of its restoration and arrangement for VIP passengers is being considered. This is an interesting idea, since the building has an interesting architecture, the walls and ceiling are painted with paintings inside the hall. In any case, you will have to completely replace all the services of control, registration, reception and baggage claim.

Terminal infrastructure

The first thing that catches your eye when entering the building is a bust of Prince Danil Romanovich Galitsky. It is in his honor that the updated Lviv Airport is named. Many locals continue to call the Sknilov airport.

Arrival and departure zones are combined; you can move around the entire first floor without hindrance. After registration, you need to go up to the second floor, where there are passport and customs control zones, a duty-free shop and waiting rooms. In the Duty Free store you can buy alcoholic beverages, souvenirs, toilet water, cosmetics, baby products.
