Recently, most films in movie theaters are shown in 3D-format. Its popularity is due to the fact that it allows you to look at special effects in a new way, since when viewing it creates the impression of a depth of space. However, not everyone can afford to watch every new movie in 3D because of the price of tickets. Few people know that for almost every PC user this format is available on a computer.
As you know, many good films were released long before 3D technology was used in movie theaters. And moviegoers could not see them fully. However, there is the possibility of watching a 3D movie on a computer with a three-dimensional image.
Before watching 3D on a computer, you need to purchase or make stereoscopic glasses yourself. They are made of simple materials: cardboard or frames, plastic. You will also need red and blue colors (markers or ink for printer cartridges are suitable). However, it is worth noting that the quality of glasses of own production will be much lower than industrial.
Before watching 3D on your computer, you need to install the program "The KMPlayer +" with the filter "Anaglyph.ax", which will need to be downloaded separately. It is worth noting that the player is free and supports Russian. You can download the program from its official website in Russian. Installation is standard, as with most programs. Be careful, the setting is in English. During the installation process , the program can also install unnecessary toolbars, so carefully read what is written in the window, and uncheck if necessary.
After installation, restart your computer and open the player. At the first start, the setup wizard "The KMPlayer +" is offered, where you can configure the Russian-language interface.
But this is not the whole procedure. Before you watch 3D on your computer, you need to download the filter "Anaglyph.ax". Having done this, move it to the folder with the installed program "The KMPlayer +". Restart the computer again and start the player. Then press "F2", after which a configuration window will open. Find the "Filters" => "Custom Filter Manager" section in the left column. After that, an explorer window will open where you should find the folder with the program and select our filter. Next, in the window that opens, find the "Priority Settings" field, where you should click on "Use. Forced. " Then double-click on “Anaglyph Filter”, thereby going to the filter settings window. Here we are interested in the parameter "Scene Depth", which should be selected for each film separately. At the same time, make sure that the color of the glasses that you have is set.
Before watching 3D on your computer, turn on the movie and put on your glasses. If the image is incorrect, then open the
context menu by right-clicking on the player window. By selecting the "Filter", you can go to "Anaglyph.ax" and select the desired scene depth for this movie.
Now, knowing how to watch 3D movies on a computer, you also need to know how to turn off the filter in order to watch video in normal mode. To do this, go back to the configuration settings and in the "Filters" section, uncheck "Anaglyph Filter" and then remove it from the list. After that, restart the player, now you can watch the movie in the usual format.
