Story
Alexander Summers is the youngest child in the family and brother of Sott Summers (Cyclops). His father served as a test pilot in the US Air Force. Once he piloted a private plane, in which his family also flew. At this moment, the Shiar ship attacked them. There was only one parachute on board. The boys' mother secured him so that both would be saved. So the brothers survived the disaster. However, in the fall, Scott was seriously injured and sent to an orphanage, while Alexa was adopted by the Blanding family, who had recently lost Tod's birth child.
For the first time, Alex’s abilities appeared at the moment when he was attacked by a man who was to blame for Tod’s death. Summers could not control his strength, and the attacker died. However, at that moment, Alex was under the control of Sinister, so he did not have any memories of what he had done. He also did not know about his supernatural abilities.

Like many of the heroes of the Marvel studio, for a long time, Hawok did not guess about his strength. While studying at college, one of Alex's teachers was Azmet Abdol, also a mutant. He soon realized that there was a psychic connection between him and the young man. They were also united by the similarity of abilities - they both could absorb cosmic radiation. However, Alex, without knowing it, suppressed Akhmet's forces. Soon, the professor fled from college, kidnapping several students, among whom was our hero.
The abducted were in the laboratory of Akhmet. Here, among other things, he managed to block Alex's ability to absorb radiation, thereby depriving the young man of the ability to restrain someone else's power. Then the true power of Azmet only appeared. His incredible powers soon attracted the attention of Professor X (Charles Xavier). Soon, the X-Men appeared in the professor's laboratory and defeated him, freeing the prisoners. Then only Alex, after many years of separation, was able to meet his older brother Scott, who studied under Xavier.
X-Men
This team of mutants is one of the most popular offspring of Marvel Studios. Hawok, however, was never a permanent member of the team, but occasionally worked with the X-Men.
So, being free, Alex decided not to return to the people and stay in the desert, as he had not yet learned to keep his abilities in check. Although he was invited to go to the school for the Xavier mutants.
But far from civilization, Alex did not find peace. He was found and captured by the Sentinel (a robot for catching mutants), after which the young man was in the hands of Larry Trask. It was Trask who gave Alex his code name Hawok, and the scientist also came up with a special suit that helped control the level of radiation in the body.
However, soon the X-Men discovered and destroyed the laboratory of Trask, and all the prisoners were released. Alex, who has retained the special costume, decides this time to join the X-Men. At the school, Xavier Summers was taught to control his strength, which helped him to reveal his considerable potential.
Hawok and Polaris
Living in Xavier’s school, Alexa fell in love with Lorna Dane (another X mutant). Her code name was Polaris. Together they worked with the X-Men, helping those fight the villains, and they also participated in preventing the invasion of the Znors aliens.
However, neither Alex nor his lover was going to connect his whole life with the team. They wanted a more normal and quiet life. Soon they discovered a common hobby - geophysics. Together they began to study this science in the West of America. Soon, Polaris and Havok left the team.
Unfulfilled dreams
But living an ordinary life did not work out, as often happens in the Marvel comics. Hawok and Polaris were attacked by Marauders during research. The girl was taken under the control of Anger, a mutant with strong mental abilities, and then moved into her body. Alex had to escape, leaving his beloved.
