Theater History
The Kachalovsky Theater (Kazan), the photo of which is presented in this article, dates back to 1791. It was then that the city began to show regular performances for the townspeople. It was a public theater, which was opened on the initiative of the governor of Kazan.

In 2014, the theater underwent a major reconstruction. Now he has at his disposal two stage venues, two rehearsal rooms, many production workshops, a museum, and convenient dressing rooms for artists. It is equipped with the latest technology.

Artistic director
The Kachalovsky Theater lives today under the direction of the director and artistic director in one person - A. Slavutsky.
Alexander was born in the city of Chelyabinsk, where he graduated from the studio at the Drama Theater and worked in the Youth Theater. Then he received a director's education in the famous Shchukin school. After studying, he returned to his native Chelyabinsk and worked as a director in the Drama Theater named after M. Gorky. Next was Novokuznetsk, then Chita, Rostov. He was a guest director at the K. Stanislavsky Theater in Moscow. In 1991 he staged a performance in Malta.
In 1994, he came to Kachalovsky Theater as the main director, and 13 years later became its artistic director.
Alexander Slavutsky is a laureate of a large number of state prizes. In 1986, he was awarded the title of Honored Artist. In 1997 he became the People's Artist of Russia, and in 2011 - Tatarstan.
A. Slavutsky is a talented director and director. He is an experienced organizer and managed to gather around him interesting, creative people who are faithful to their work. Thanks to him, the repertoire was updated in the theater. This man managed to arouse interest in the viewer.
