Today we will tell you what the Puppet Theater (Yaroslavl) is famous for. It has the status of a state and shares one building with the Theater of Young Spectators. The Yaroslavl State Puppet Theater is located on Yunost Square.
History
For almost a hundred years, two unique places for leisure for children and adults have been working in this city: TYUZ (Yaroslavl), a puppet theater. The latter was opened in 1927, March 1.
The first performance was a fairy tale called "Girl and Bear", as well as an interlude about the cheerful Cheesecake. The audience saw all this in a house located on Flotskaya Street. The productions were created by the director Maria Nikolaevna Slobodskaya, the founder of the theater.
In 1928, on March 8, another, more ambitious performance of the collective took place. This date is still celebrated as a birthday.
In the early 30s, a society called "Friend of Children" was created in the city of Yaroslavl. It had its own clubs, a shoe shop, a hairdresser and a dining room. In 1932 he was taken into custody by the Youth Theater.
Battle time
The Puppet Theater (Yaroslavl) did not break up during the war years, although this happened to many other groups. The troupe performed in workshops that worked for defense, in hospitals, and also escorted spectators to the front. They sent their comrades to the war.
In difficult times, the theater did not stop working. Until now, the doll that has remained from the time of the war is kept in the theater. She played the role of a fierce fascist, one of the main characters of the propaganda brigades. For all its harsh appearance, the character spoke in a female voice. The troupe at that time consisted only of the fair sex. Men fought at the front.
