A suburban area cannot be imagined without a thick, well-groomed and attractive lawn. Of course, you can have a patch of natural grass in your garden or courtyard, but most often we find a sowing lawn - a beautiful, velvety, beckoning to run barefoot along the emerald grass.
That's just such a lawn requires maximum attention and strength. It must be periodically watered, mowed, carefully looked after. And at the same time, one should not expect that in the first season he will appear in all its glory. It will be at least a couple of years before the sown lawn grass forms a truly veritable velvety and soft carpet.
Types of sowing lawns
Depending on the sown grass, several types of lawns are distinguished . The most severe in appearance is the ground grass. To put it in one word, it’s just grass. But the grass is well-groomed, trimmed, mulched, watered correctly. True, this gentle classic English lawn does not tolerate trampling at all.
To avoid "bald spots" and "scuffs" on the grass, you can sow a lawn for golf. To do this, we need a special grass of elite varieties, which will easily restore the grass cover. Of course, one cannot say that this is a lawn grass for the lazy, but its legs and wheels are absolutely not afraid of it. Although it also requires a certain soil moisture and constant care.
You can sow a sports lawn that is resistant to stress and damage at the cottage, or you can plant a beautiful Moorish lawn from perennial grasses with annual flowering plants. It is very similar to natural herbs, and you can not cut it. But still, the plants that make up all the beauty grow above 10-15 cm, so this is clearly not a lawn grass for the lazy.
Lawn for the lazy "Liliput"
To green the territories of large parks, gardens, suburban personal plots and summer cottages, experts brought out the unpretentious herbal mixture Liliput. This grass is ideally suited to our climatic conditions, quality and soil fertility. Lawn grass "Liliput" is a mixture of low-growing varieties, so it does not need frequent cutting. She does not need special care and, apparently, hinting at the laziness of the owner of such grass cover, the mentioned turf was called "a lawn for the lazy."

But, probably, the most “lazy" can be called a rolled lawn. This type of lawn has been used abroad for a long time, and now has become popular in our country. It is created by laying absolutely ready turf with a green cover already grown on it. This lawn grass is transported in rolls, like a carpet, so the lawn was called rolled. Its main advantage is that there is no need to take care of young crops, and this saves time and effort. Using the mentioned coating allows you to quickly get a quality lawn or make a redevelopment of the garden. For example, you can use it to change the location, width, and length of walkways. Perhaps that is why such a lawn grass for the lazy is preferable to other types of turf that are grown in the traditional way.
There are park and sports rolling lawns that are resistant to trampling, shade-tolerant and drought-resistant. With their help, strengthen the banks of private water bodies, they are used for the device of near-trunk circles and borders. And they are laid on the slopes (as the basis of the garden) or used to equip a sports or ground lawn.
But for those sites where pedestrian paths are laid, landscape designers do not recommend using them. Since practice shows that with fairly intensive use, rolled grass loses its decorativeness quite quickly.
