Childhood

Furmanov Rudolf Davydovich was born in Leningrad in 1938. His parents divorced immediately after the birth of the boy, and when he was one and a half years old, his mother died of tuberculosis. Since that time, the upbringing of the baby was dealt with by his own aunt - Maria Andreyevna Gromova. He owes it to her that he survived the siege of Leningrad. Youth

After graduating from school, Rudolf Furmanov continued his education at the Gas Fuel College, and then studied in absentia at the Polytechnic Institute. Ostrovsky, at the theater department of which Furmanov studied in the period from 1962 to 1964.

Theater and movie work

As an actor, Rudolf Furmanov appeared before the audience at the age of 10, starring in the film “First-Grader”, and after 6 years the film “Vladimir Dagger” was released on the screens of Vladimir Vengerov, in which he played one of the hooligans from the company of Filin.

He also started concert activities quite early, acting as a partner with such famous artists as Sergey Filippov, Anatoly Papanov, Vadim Medvedev, Nikolay Simonov, Evgenia Lebedeva, Vladislav Strzhelchik, Andrey Mironov, Mikhail Kozakov, Valentina Kovel and Yuri Yakovlev.

In 1988, Rudolf Davydovich Furmanov founded the Russian Entreprise Theater named after A. Mironova. At that time it was a unique project, since it combined the contract model of enterprises and the traditions of the Russian repertoire of regular theater that had developed in the 19th century. In the first 8 years of the existence of Russian Entreprise, the productions were staged on different stages, until in 1996 he received a “permanent residence permit” in the so-called Tower House, which is located on the Petrograd side.
