When a traveler flies to Yakutia, he begins to worry about how this land will meet him with harsh nature. I really do not want to experience the cold in the first minutes after landing. Can passengers be dropped out of the cabin in the middle of the field? Where to expect luggage? What conditions does the airport of Yakutsk boast of? Is there any hotel near the air harbor? This will tell our article.

This is not to say that Yakutia (the official name of the Republic of Sakha) was a favorite and popular destination. But many tourists use this airport as a transit point on the way to the resorts of Thailand, for example, to Phuket. What do they say about the conditions at the airport? It should be said that old and new reviews are very different. Maybe the reason is that a new terminal was launched? It opened at the end of June 2012.

Yakutsk Airport: description

The air harbor of the Republic of Sakha also has a second, unofficial, name - “Tuymaada”. This name bears the valley in which Yakutsk is located. And the name passed to the city airport terminal. As for its characteristics, quite often we will have to repeat the word "most." After all, Yakutsk is an airport in many ways unique. For example, it is the only training ground in the world where new flying machines are tested in natural conditions of low temperatures. And this airport was the first point from where the flight was made over the Far North of the USSR and Siberia (to Irkutsk). Now the air terminal has the status of international and federal significance. The airlines Polar Airlines and Yakutia are based in it. At the moment, the passenger turnover of the airport is 850 thousand people per year. This modest figure is due to the fact that Yakutsk is not a frequent city. But the airport capacity is seven hundred passengers per hour! So the potential at the air terminal is truly huge.
