About the theater
KSAU "Primorsky Opera and Ballet Theater" is one of the youngest and most modern not only in the Far East, but throughout Russia. It was opened in 2012. Thanks to its original design, the theater is one of the main attractions of the city. Its building was built using the most modern technologies. It has the shape of a "cube in a cube." The theater has three halls: small, large and summer. The first is used for chamber concerts and performances. And also for creative meetings, conferences and romance evenings. The large hall is built in the shape of a horseshoe. It is designed for 1390 spectators. Its unique acoustics was created through the use of natural materials - panels from Philippine pine. The small hall seats 312 spectators. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it provides for a transforming stall.
Celebrities such as Maria Maksakova, Valery Gergiev, Yuri Bogdanov, Denis Matsuev, Sergey Roldugin, Elena Obraztsova and many others performed at the theater.
