The manga and the anime Naruto have become incredibly popular, creating with them a huge fan movement. Now you can find the most diverse forms of manifestation of this culture, from lenses for eyes and blindfolds to computer and board and games. A huge number of people enjoyed the history of the ninja, full of unexpected twists, vivid battles and worthy deeds.
And that is why in this article one moment will be considered that causes some people to bewilderment, namely the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. This is a feature of the eyes of the members of the Uchiha clan, which allows them to gain incredible power, but at the same time, many people do not really understand the difference between Sharingan, Mangekyu Sharingan and the Eternal Mangekyu Sharingan himself.
Accordingly, this article will serve as a kind of guide for those who want to understand the features of the eyes of the Uchiha clan and understand what Sharingan is. Itachi, Sasuke, Madara - these are the main characters on which attention will be focused. It is on their example that this topic will be dealt with. It’s worth mentioning right away that Sharingan Itachi, put in the title, cannot be called the strongest, but it can definitely be called the most revealing.
What is a Sharingan?
So, first of all, it is necessary to understand what Sharingan is. Itachi was not the first character to use the abilities of his eyes, but it is worth talking about him a little later, since he used an improved version of the Sharingan. Now it makes sense to look at the basic Sharingan, which, for example, was used by the young Sasuke. This ability awakens when a member of the Uchiha clan experiences strong emotions towards someone. These can be both positive and negative manifestations of feelings. At this point, the user begins to develop a special kind of chakra, which changes the color of the pupils to red. Also on the pupils tomoe begin to appear - black marks that indicate the power of the Sharingan. Sharingan reaches full power when receiving three tomoe in each eye.
What gives the user a sharingan? Itachi used illusions, Kakashi could copy the movements of the enemy. The user receives all these abilities with the awakening of the Sharingan. It can move much faster and more clearly, as the whole world in the eyes of a user of Sharingan begins to move more slowly. As mentioned above, this dojutsu (that is, eye skill) allows you to use genjutsu, that is, illusions, copy the movements and jutsu of the opponent, read lips, see chakra and much more. In general, this is a very strong skill, due to which the Uchiha clan has long been considered one of the strongest in the world.
Mangekyu
But it is time to move on and consider the second form of the Sharingan - Mangekyu Sharingan. Itachi was the first to use the power of these eyes in the anime, and even then one could see how huge it is. But Mangekyu’s abilities will be discussed a little later, but for now it’s worth looking at how the Uchiha can get an improvement for her eyes.
It turns out that this type of Sharingan awakens from the user when he experiences a serious injury associated with the death of a loved one. As you can see, the conditions for obtaining such a Sharingan are much more severe than the conditions for obtaining a basic dojutsu. In addition, the problem is misinterpretation.
From generation to generation, stories are passed from fathers to children and so on. And at some point a mistake crept into the history of the Uchiha clan, and the children began to learn that in order to receive Mangekyou Sharingan, it was necessary to kill a loved one, and not just survive his death. Thus began the era of cruelty in the Uchiha clan, and that is why in his eyes Sasuke fell so much his older brother Itachi Uchiha. Sharingan Itachi woke up incredibly early, he was one of the most talented members of the clan, but as a result, Mangekyu was also awakened when his best friend committed suicide. But all members of the clan believed that in order to get Mangekyu, it was necessary to kill a loved one, so they believed that Itachi killed Shisui in order to gain even greater power.
However, Itachi was only a witness. But it makes no sense to tell one of the most exciting stories in detail, you better read it yourself. So far, it is worth paying attention to the very power that was already discussed. What gives Mangekyou Sharingan?
Mangekyu abilities
Mangekyu’s abilities are actually huge, and they can vary depending on the owner. The bottom line is that the user greatly enhances all of his jutsu and abilities. But that is far from all. For each eye in which Mangekyou Sharingan has awakened, there is one powerful jutsu. For example, Itachi fell on one eye with a black fire Amaterasu, which burns for seven days and seven nights, and on the other - Tsukuemi, a powerful illusion from which it is almost impossible to get out. Within the framework of this illusion, the perception of the time of the victim changes, and a few hours in a painful illusion turn out to be just a second in the real world.
When both eyes get their abilities, the user is given the opportunity to use Susanno. This technique is one of the strongest in the world, it creates a creature around the user from the chakra, which protects him from all damage, and also allows you to attack the enemy with incredible strength. As you can see, Mangekyou Sharingan is what the members of the Uchiha clan were ready to kill their friends and relatives for.
Getting Mangekyu
Before proceeding to consider the eternal form of this dojutsu, you need to look at some features of the acquisition of Mangekyu Sharingan. As you already learned, Mangekyou Itachi has awakened. When did he witness the suicide of his best friend? In which episode does Itachi awaken the Sharingan? However, this is not shown in the anime or manga. But you can see how Sharingan of Itachi's father woke up, as this is shown in episode 455. His Mangekyu woke up when his best friend died in battle. As for Sasuke, his Mangekyou naturally woke up after he killed Itachi and found out the whole truth about his brother’s past.
Effects
To fully understand why the members of the Uchiha clan who gained Mangekyu Sharingan so much wanted to make it Eternal, you need to understand in more detail what effect the use of this dojutsu had on the owner. It turns out that such powerful jutsu had a price. Frequent use of techniques caused complete devastation and inability to conduct combat. More specifically, after three uses of the Mangekyu technique, the user lost the ability to use jutsu and became useless. In addition, this affected the eyes. The fact is that over time, the use of Mangekyu spoiled the sight of the owner, and he could even go blind. That is why every owner of Mangekyu sought to make it Eternal, as this removed all restrictions on the use of dojutsu and did not affect vision.
Eternal Sharingan
Many people talk about the Itachi Eternal Sharingan, but this is a mistake because Itachi never received the Eternal Sharingan. And now you will find out why. The fact is that the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan can be obtained only if the owner transplants the eyes of another member of the Uchiha clan. Only then can he gain incredible power, but at the same time you can well imagine the price that he will have to pay for it. And that is why only two members of the Uchiha clan in history have received the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. Itachi was not one of them.
Madara
The strongest shinobi in the history of the Uchiha clan was Madara, and it was he who became the first person who could get the Eternal Sharingan. He became a true legend of the shinobi world, the protector of his clan, and it was for his salvation that he used Mangekyu so often that as a result he lost his sight and was helpless.
His younger brother Izuna, being on his deathbed, bequeathed his eyes to his older brother, who was injured in defense of his family. That is how the Uchiha learned that the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan exists, and Madara became the first person to gain these abilities. But what exactly are the abilities in question?
Features of the Eternal Sharingan
As for the Eternal Sharingan, he does not endow the user with new jutsu. However, as mentioned earlier, it has huge advantages. Firstly, the user restores his vision, and secondly, his vision no longer deteriorates, and the restrictions on the number of techniques used per day are removed. And thirdly, the owner of the Eternal Sharingan becomes completely unpredictable in battle, as his vision allows him to move like no shinobi in the world does.
However, it was said that two people in the world had the Eternal Sharingan. Madara was the first, but who is the second?
Battle of Sasuke and Itachi
As you already learned, Sharingan Itachi, whose photographs you have already seen, has never been Eternal. And many people who did not watch anime and did not read manga to the end will be surprised, since Sasuke became the second owner of the Eternal Sharingan. It all started with the battle of Sasuke and Itachi. Sasuke thought Itachi wanted to kill him in order to get his eyes and gain the Eternal Sharingan. But in reality, everything turned out to be completely different, and then Sasuke already learned that he had been lied to for a very long time, and in fact Itachi defended him, and did not try to kill him. And, of course, he bequeathed his eyes to Sasuke so that he could receive the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan.
Naturally, many fans fantasize about what would happen if everything turned out differently. There are various Sharingan Itachi fanfiction, eye lenses that let you look like this character, and much more. But in reality, the owner of the Eternal Sharingan was not Itachi, but Sasuke.
Sasuke Failure
Initially, Sasuke refused to take Itachi's eyes, since he did not yet know the whole truth, so he believed that his brother was a traitor and a murderer, although he had already begun to suspect that something was wrong. But if he didn’t know anything, the story would be completely different, right?
Eternal Sharingan Sasuke
Toby intervened, who wanted to use Sasuke to destroy the shinobi and plunge the world into an eternal illusion. It was he who told Sasuke that the shinobi conspired against the Uchiha clan and caused the death of all Sasuke's close people, as well as the reason that Itachi's name was blackened forever. It was then that Sasuke fully realized what Itachi had done for him, as well as what others had done to him, so he agreed to transplant his eyes in order to take revenge.
