About the theater
The musical theater on Bagrationovskaya began its career in 2012. His first production is "Times Don't Choose." The libretto for this musical was written by A. Kortnev and M. Shvydky. This production is still on the stage of the theater.
In 2012, the second performance was presented. It is called "Wasterers." The authors of the music and the libretto are A. Shavrin and M. Leonidov. In December 2015, the production was closed.
In 2013, the repertoire was replenished with the revue “Life is beautiful!”. In the performance you can hear rock, dance hits, patriotic songs of the Soviet era, romances, arias from operettas and lyrical ballads.
In the 2014-2015 season, the Moscow musical theater pleased the viewer with a new production. This is the fairy tale "All About Cinderella." The performance became the hallmark of the theater and even received the Golden Mask.
This season, the premiere of the rock opera Crime and Punishment took place. This event was dedicated to the 150th anniversary of this novel. The music for the performance was written by Eduard Artemyev. It was directed by Andrei Konchalovsky.
In addition, the theater hosts guests on its stage. Tours of various companies, festivals, children's Christmas trees, charity events and so on are held here.
Building
The Moscow musical theater is located in the legendary Filevsky park. The building in which it operates previously belonged to the Gorbunov Palace of Culture. It was built back in 1938. Today the building is a monument of Soviet architecture. It has an auditorium designed for 1200 seats. In different years, troupes from the best theaters of our country performed here, festivals, creative meetings and concerts, film screenings took place. The guests of the Palace of Culture were famous personalities: Mikhail Zhvanetsky, Bulat Okudzhava, Konstantin Raikin, Mikhail Ulyanov, Gennady Khazanov, Valentin Gaft and many others.
In the 80s and 90s of the 20th century, the Palace of Culture, nicknamed "Gorbushka", was the main venue of the country, where concerts and rock music festivals took place .

"All about Cinderella"
The musical theater on Bagrationovskaya in October 2014 presented the audience with its version of the well-known fairy tale about Cinderella. The music for the production was written by Raymond Pauls. The performance is intended for spectators from twelve years old. The directors claim that no one has ever seen such a Cinderella like theirs. The performance of the musical theater is not a fairy tale familiar to everyone, but a story about the spite of the day about our life and about all of us. Mutual resentment, indefatigable ambitions, the desire to start a war just out of boredom, the incredulity of kind people to this cruel world. This is not quite a fairy tale. There is love, and even a little politics.
In 2016 , the musical All About Cinderella was awarded the Golden Mask Award. She received the actress Oksana Kostetskaya, performer of the party Krestnoy, in the nomination "Best Actress".

Getting to the theater is not at all difficult. The nearest metro station is Bagrationovskaya. The musical theater is within walking distance from it.
