Today, many know him as a major philanthropist and a successful businessman who has his own interests in banking, energy and heavy industry. And a quarter of a century ago, this man, in certain circles called the "TĂŒrik", led one of the largest organized crime groups in Siberia. Moreover, in the criminal environment, Vladimir Tyurin was in the first positions, since he was part of the inner circle of the famous authority of Grandfather Hassan. The fraternal organized crime group, like most criminal structures, appeared in the era of the dashing 90s. Vladimir Tyurin turned it into a powerful and influential organization.
History tour
The fraternal organized crime group was finally formed in the era of the emergence of cooperation. Its members traded by paying tribute to novice businessmen, eliminating orders from objectionable competitors, and supervising the drug trade. However, they had competitors in the form of Caucasian groups, so a showdown for spheres of influence should have come sooner or later.

And they happened in the summer of 1991. The reason for them was the elimination of the leader of the "fraternal" nickname "Masya", who died as a result of the explosion of an anti-tank grenade. After that, the wards of the murdered authority, already under the direction of another person, decided once and for all to end the Caucasians in the region. They declared war âalienâ, and after some time no gang of Caucasians remained in the city. The fraternal organized crime group needed a reliable leader who could deal with serious matters in the interests of the criminal structure and take steps to increase its authority among thieves in law. And such was soon found. The successor to the murdered Masi was Vladimir Tyurin.
The representative of the new formation of thieves
If we carefully analyze the initial stage of Tyurik's biography (date and place of birth on November 25, 1958, the city of Bratsk), then we can conclude that in the future gang leader two kinds of principles coexisted. On the one hand, he was an obedient and versatile teenager who graduated from school with a gold medal. In his youth, Vladimir Tyurin was fond of chess and showed interest in bodybuilding. Having received a certificate of maturity, the young man entered the St. Petersburg Polytechnic at the Faculty of Economics.
It seemed that he had every chance to make a brilliant career in his chosen profession. But, as it turned out, the young man had inclinations of a criminal nature. Already at the age of 15 he was found guilty of gang rape. In 1980, Tyurin was convicted of his participation in an apartment theft. At 30, he went to jail for involving minors in illegal activities. So Vladimir Tyurin (the "Brotherly" organized crime group) knew firsthand about the "thieves' world".
Led gang
In 1993, Tyurik became a crowned thief. The initiator of this ceremony was Vyacheslav Ivankov (Jap) himself. The latter decided that the fraternal organized crime group will gain a new leader in the person of Vladimir Tyurin. The leader was supposed to destroy all those responsible for the massacre of Masi, expel Georgian authorities from the region and âcrush under himâ most of the business of the Irkutsk region. And Tyurin (the âBrotherlyâ organized crime group) fully justified the hopes placed on him. He dealt with the offenders and began to expand the sphere of influence on the business of the Irkutsk region. They consistently received a percentage from local entrepreneurs and gradually covered all the large enterprises of the oil and timber processing industries in the region.

The âfraternalâ organized crime group, which included mainly ambitious young people from 16 to 30 years old, gradually grew into ties in the state structures of the region. By bribery, cases were resolved of not prosecuting persons who were Tyurik's wards. Naturally, after some time, the fraternal organized crime group turned into a powerful and influential structure, which allocated substantial money to the thieves' common fund. Tyurik's authority has also grown significantly.
The geography of the criminal activity of a group led by Tyurin began to go beyond the borders of his native region. The bandits began to turn things around in the Krasnoyarsk, Khabarovsk Territories and Primorye. But Tyurin (fraternal organized crime groups) showed particular interest in the St. Petersburg market. However, at first he did not suspect that a competitor would envy his unexpected and hasty success.
A series of unsuccessful attempts
The authority of Igor Lysenko, nicknamed "Basel", initially did not like that some Tyurik had been crowned thieves for no reason. He wondered why the ordinary "huckster" was awarded such a high title in the criminal world. Lysenko also did not want large industrial enterprises of the Irkutsk region to be controlled by Tyurik. He preferred to solve the problem radically ...
Attempt number 1
The very next day after the coronation, Basel sent two "scumbags" to Vladimirâs apartment, which were supposed to eliminate the leader of the "fraternal".
But the killers simply âmissedâ the victim: when they went into the entrance of the house, they, through elementary negligence, passed the head of the âBratskoyeâ organized criminal group who was passing by, who went down the stairs and calmly went outside. As a result, the attempt to eliminate failed.
Attempt number 2
After this, the annoyed Basel personally gave the performers the Nagan and ordered to finish the job. He promised to give a solid reward to the one who does it. The victimâs house was monitored. The scheme of the second assassination attempt was straightforward: when Tyurin got into the car, the killer, disguised as a law enforcement officer, would catch up with the vehicle on a motorcycle and shoot Tyurik. But this time, the head of the âBrotherlyâ organized crime group was not injured: with his sixth sense, he suspected something was amiss and, when he heard the roar of a riding motorcycle, he sharply âgave the gasâ ...
Attempt number 3
After some time, Basel's thugs made another attempt to eliminate. This time, the killers intended to deal with the victim in his own apartment. At the same time, the performers agreed that if Tyurina was not in the apartment, then by all means they would wait for his appearance. When they approached the house, they saw that Vladimirâs car was in the yard. The thugs feared that the head of the fraternal organized crime group could not be in the apartment alone. One of the killers was hiding in the porch, and the other hastened to the telephone booth to call for help. But suddenly Tyurin came out of his home, accompanied by a lady, and the couple in a matter of seconds was in the car.

Killer later explained that he was simply late with the shot. Then the killer decided to throw a grenade, but again there was a failure. The shell "bounced" from the vehicle, flying off to the side. Only the killer himself suffered, and Tyurik and his companion remained unharmed, since they were able to leave the scene at a safe distance in no time. One way or another, but during the interrogation of the investigator, the head of the fraternal organized crime group, Vladimir Tyurin, refused to consider himself a victim and stated that he had no complaints against anyone.
Attempt No. 4
But there was a fourth attempt to eliminate the leader of an authoritative gang. The environment of Basel has learned that in one of the cityâs basins, a gathering of criminal authorities is planned, which will also be attended by Vladimir Tyurin.
Igor Lysenko ordered the foreman to plant an explosive device directly near the highway along which the path to the pool lay. The killers had to watch for Tyurik's car and, when he crosses the controlled section of the track, press the trigger. But this time there was a misfire. The leader of the "fraternal" again trusted his intuition: he preferred to go to a gathering on another road, and returned back already in another car. Basel did not commit any more attempts on the life of the crowned thief, and Tyurik himself began to travel with security for his own safety.
Initially, he could not have imagined who so badly wanted his death. And the investigator himself revealed this secret to him.
Denouement
Suddenly, the Basel foreman who directly hunted Vladimir Tyurin disappeared from the city. Left the borders of Bratsk and Igor Lysenko. As it turned out later, the customer of the crime fled to St. Petersburg, where after a criminal showdown he ended up in a medical facility because he was wounded from a firearm. After some time, Basel was killed in the same Northern capital. Moreover, the direct perpetrators of the crime, who were in the group of Igor Lysenko, appeared before the court shortly before the murder of their leader. It is noteworthy that they all tried to convince the representative of Themis that they had no idea in their thoughts to encroach on the life of an authoritative thief in law.
The leader of the fraternal organized crime group, Vladimir Tyurin, was absent from the trial, but from the written sources available in the arsenal of the court, it followed that he had no complaints against the victims. At the same time, there were rumors in criminal circles that it was Yaponchikâs protege who made sure that Baselâs wards were in the dock.
New Horizons
After the "Bratsk" organized crime group became the main "controller" of all business in the Irkutsk region, Tyurik began to think about conquering St. Petersburg and Moscow. Initially, in the Northern capital they âroofedâ small businessmen, avoiding a showdown with large criminal communities. But after some time, participating in constant feuds, the St. Petersburg gangs seriously weakened, and the "fraternal" decided to take advantage of the situation. "Siberians" began to engage in larger affairs.

Tyurik established a channel for transporting Irkutsk aluminum and timber through the city on the Neva to the Baltic countries. Soon, the Bratsk organized crime group, whose members' photos appeared on the media pages in the late 90s in connection with the arrest of the gang, decided to wedge themselves into the pharmaceutical and fuel business. Tyurik spared no money to bribe senior officials and representatives of the "power" departments. Soon the leader of the "fraternal" became an influential figure in St. Petersburg and Moscow. Vladimir Tyurin turned into a major entrepreneur and decided to leave the shadow business.
Abroad
In the second half of the 90s, the crowned thief in law, in order to protect himself from potential arrests, decides to leave the homeland and moves with his first wife and son to live in Benedorm (Spain). But, being abroad, he continues to maintain ties with the criminal world. In particular, he closely communicates with the authority of Zakari Kalashov, who in certain circles is known as âShakro Youngâ.
In 2003, Tyurik was present at a large gathering of thieves, which was organized in Spain. It was on it that the authorities decided to create a corporation that would launder and legalize the proceeds of crime in Russia. Initially, the affairs of thieves, as they say, went uphill, but then the Spanish law enforcement authorities suspected that something was wrong. Large-scale operation "Wasp" thundered like a bolt from the blue. Financial accounts, luxurious villas were seized, debt receipts were seized ... And this time, fortune favors Vladimir Tyurin. Before the Spanish police began conducting operational investigative measures, the head of the Bratskaya criminal group went to Russia.
Extradition did not take place
The detectives of the kingdom put him on the international wanted list and demand that the thief in law be extradited to Spain. But here, Tyurik was lucky. The lawyers of the authority appealed to the court of the city of Bratsk to prove: their principal is a Russian citizen. In evidence, they presented an identity document issued by the Republic of Kazakhstan. The court ruled to prevent the extradition of the âfraternalâ leader, automatically extending the term of detention to Tyurin. However, further proceedings did not clarify the fate of the gang leader. The judges continued to increase his terms of arrest until a threatening health attack of hypertension occurred in the thief in the cell. After that, he was assigned an alternative preventive measure - house arrest.
In the winter of 2012, lawyers obtained through court that Vladimir Tyurin was officially recognized as a Russian citizen, and therefore a ban on extradition to a foreign state came into force. And in his homeland, he was not a defendant in criminal cases, so no prison threatened him.
