Production history
This car with a double cab was first launched in 1995, a year later, before its “ancestor” - the Gazelle - debuted with a single cab. The novelty became universal, since it was possible to transport any rural animals and goods (hence the name “Gazelle-Farmer”). Thanks to the 6-seat cabin, a small team of workers could easily fit in it, and the 16-cm clearance allowed goods to be transported on any road, whether it be an asphalt road or a primer. In rural conditions, she promptly delivered poultry, fertilizers and manufactured goods.

In 2003, this car experienced a slight restyling, while the optics changed from square to more modern, a bumper and
a radiator grille. With the advent of the new generation of Gazelles of the Business series, this car also experienced another restyling, as did its sister with a single cab. Now the new truck looks exactly like that.
The smiling and solid design of the Gazelle turned out to be quite successful. Now, “Farmer” has acquired a completely different bumper and air intake, smoothly turning into an updated radiator grille. At the same time, the appearance of the car remained quite recognizable. The same headlights are almond-shaped, rims, arches and glazing. In the photo we see that the space for air flow into the engine has noticeably increased, which means that the eternal problem with boiled Gazelles standing on the sidelines will gradually recede into the past. Now provides normal air circulation, which makes the new product modern and reliable.

The car is equipped with an injection engine from the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant model UMZ-4216. Its working volume is 2.9 liters, and the power is about 106 horsepower. In addition, the Chrysler and Cummins units are present in the engine range. According to manufacturers, a useful resource for the operation of the last pair of motors is 500 thousand kilometers. All units are equipped with a five -speed manual gearbox. The average fuel consumption of the new product is about 10.5 liters (for EVP) with an error of 0.5 liters for the Chrysler and Cummins engines. The service interval was increased from 10 to 15 thousand kilometers.

A Gazelle-Farmer car equipped with an UMP gasoline engine and a 3-meter cargo platform costs about 450 thousand rubles. An extended version of a light truck is estimated at 470 thousand.
