Copying a file is a process in the operating system that absolutely every user who knows at least something about computers can do. Often when performing this action, no one raises unnecessary questions. The usual appropriate tool in the Explorer file manager is enough to make a copy. But the situation is changing diametrically if it is necessary to work with a huge amount of information, especially if this need arises very often. In this case, it is better to use special programs for copying files. Total commander
Total Commander is one of the most popular and powerful file managers that can perform those operations with files that Explorer cannot afford. A feature of the program is two work areas. In fact, it’s like two windows of the “Explorer”, but only they are paired. Thus, work on files is much more convenient. In the left pane, you open the directory in which there are files necessary for copying, and on the right - the directory in which you need to move them. After that, you select the necessary ones and, using the appropriate tool, copy them where necessary. Hot keys are especially pleasing, with the help of which work on files is accelerated many times.
Unstoppable copier
Unstoppable Copier, like Total Commander, is a multifunctional program that includes a huge number of tools for working on files. As you can already guess, the copy function is also in it, moreover, it is performed in a completely different way. The difference is that first you specify the directory or directory from which you want to move the files, then indicate the path to the directory in which you want to place them, then just click on the "Copy" button. After that, the corresponding process starts, the progress of which you can track at the bottom of the program window. There is information about the number of bytes that were transferred, how many damaged files were transferred, the number of errors that occurred and the transfer rate are shown. It is also a file backup program , for it you only need to enable the corresponding parameter in the settings.
Fastcopy
As the saying goes, the name speaks for itself. FastCopy is a program for copying files from one directory to another. Unlike previous applications, it can do nothing more. But if you have the goal of copying files, then nothing more is needed. This is the advantage of FastCopy - it does not have an interface loaded with unnecessary information, so it will be easier for the user to figure it out. Unfortunately, the program does not support the Russian language, but without it, everything is pretty clear. First you indicate the directory from where you want to copy the files, then where you want to copy them, well, and then click the appropriate button. There is also a set of additional parameters in this program for copying files, but it is quite possible to do without them.
Teracopy
Finally, we will analyze an unconventional program for copying files, namely, TeraCopy. Its main difference is that it does not have a launcher as such. After you install TeraCopy, a shortcut will not appear on the desktop, just the copier will be replaced in the Explorer context menu. Now, when copying files in the file manager, not the usual file transfer interface will be displayed, but a special one, which is better because it is able to check the integrity of data arrays.
