Products from cupronickel are quite practical. They are not only durable, but also quite aesthetic, which allows you to use them even during the holidays. Cupronickel is an alloy of metal and nickel. Additionally, products from this material can be coated with silver. This allows you to bring them as close as possible to silver cutlery, but the price will be much lower.
Cleaning rules
Cutlery from cupronickel requires a careful attitude and compliance with the rules of care:
- when cleaning, do not use products that contain chlorine;
- it is not recommended to clean cutlery from cupronickel and ordinary cleaning powders, as the surface will be washed;
- care should be gentle.

Soda and salt cleaning

Another universal remedy is ordinary table salt. In salt water, add the chopped shell of two eggs. Then you need to boil the water, and then put the cutlery in the pan. After a few minutes, remove items and simply wipe with a woolen cloth.
Soda and salt can give nickel silver products shine and eliminate unpleasant odors. To do this, you need to cover the deep container with foil and pour water into it (it must be hot). Add salt and soda to it in a ratio of 3: 1. Keep cutlery in this container overnight. In the morning, remove and wipe with a woolen cloth.
Storage rules
It is not enough to know how to clean cutlery from cupronickel. You need to be able to store them correctly, then you can rarely clean. The basic rules are:
- storage in a thick plastic film (can be replaced with a sealed container);
- avoid prolonged contact with moisture (vinegar can remove dark spots from moisture).
In addition, it is worth remembering that after washing cutlery from cupronickel should be immediately wiped dry. Compliance with several rules of care will allow you to use your favorite set for a long time.
