Cinema, as an art, attracts billions of users every day to electronic device displays. Naturally, film distribution novelties with the participation of famous actors, blockbusters, and others are naturally very popular. Many Internet resources, trying to attract visitors, compete with each other, trying to quickly lay out the next film. However, the quality of the video, especially at the first appearance, does not always please the user.
Quite often, situations arise when the time spent downloading a movie turns out to be wasted, as the result is different from what was expected. To avoid this, it should be understood that conditional abbreviations are indicated, placed next to the names of films in the column "quality".
Video quality CAMRip or CAM for short. By this abbreviation is meant the video shot by the camera in the cinema. This is the so-called "screen". People can walk in front of the camera while watching such films. Quite often, the recording is accompanied by a bad sound and a fuzzy, twitching image.
TS video quality (Telesync ) This is also a "screen", but a higher level. With TS, shooting takes place either in an empty room or in the operator’s booth. At the same time, the camcorder is mounted on a tripod, which eliminates the possibility of a jerking image and strangers entering the frame. There is a variant called Super TS. The difference from the usual TS is the additional processing of video captured in the cinema. The result can be both good and not very good, since it completely depends on the professionalism of the person who performed it.
TeleCine This video quality is familiar to many under the terms “roll” or “digitization”. This is a digitized version of the film obtained from the film projector, which allows to achieve a more or less high-quality result. The main distinguishing features of the “roll”: slight blurring of the image and the abundance of yellow in the picture.
VHS-Rip is a digitized video cassette. Usually the quality is pretty average or very poor. The image is blurry, there may be stripes on the screen, etc.
DVD-Screener or abbreviated DVDScr, as well as SCR. This option is usually distributed for "promotional" purposes especially for leading critics and other people associated with the film industry. The quality is at a high level, however, it is specially “spoiled” by various watermarks, warnings, etc.
DVD quality does not need explanation. This is a good video that will be read on all players, has a clear picture and good sound. A copy is often made from it, which is pinched in order to obtain high-quality video, but smaller. This copy is called DVD Rip.
HD is a high-resolution video that is well-suited for large home theater screens. It features high definition pictures and good sound. Quality depends on the source, which may be a television or Blu-ray, HD-DVD. “Rips” from television are called HDTV Rip, and the best video quality comes from HD Rip, Remux, HD-DVD Rip, and BR Rip.
There is also a TV Rip. This abbreviation can be found if the user is interested in series. The source of the recording is a television signal, and the quality depends on many factors, among which the mastery of the person who creates Rip occupies an important place.
