One of the largest enterprises in Belarus is the Minsk Automobile Plant PRUP. He is engaged in the production of heavy vehicles, trolleybuses, buses, trailers and semi-trailers. In Russia, MAZ cars can be seen as often as, for example, KamAZ or Ural. They are used in various fields of activity. They are not inferior in their characteristics, and in some cases even ahead.
Variety of modifications
The plant produces a large number of modifications, allowing them to be used for various purposes. The main ones are:
- Trailers and semi-trailers.
- Special equipment (truck cranes, concrete mixers, timber trucks, municipal vehicles, manipulators and others).
A MAZ car is used (see the photo in this article) in many countries of the post-Soviet space and beyond. This is mainly Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan.
MAZ dump trucks
Dump trucks have been popular for several decades. During this time, they have shown themselves as high-quality, durable and passable equipment. High characteristics of MAZ vehicles make vehicles competitive. It is not inferior in its properties to the products of other countries.
If we talk about Russia, then in our country the following advantages that a MAZ car possesses are most valued:

Most modifications of MAZ dump trucks have the following characteristics:
- Engine power - 155-412 horsepower.
- A gearbox can have five to sixteen speeds.
- Wheelbase 4 x 2 or 6 x 2.
The most popular trucks of the enterprise
For transportation of goods over short distances, the MAZ car is made in the form of an onboard truck.
The history of MAZ cargo models began immediately after the end of World War II. In the period from 1947 to 1966, the company produced the MAZ-200 model. Her cabin was wooden, but with metal sheathing. The body also lined up on a wooden platform. All three sides opened.
Based on it, at the same time, a modification of the MAZ-205 was developed. The body platform has already been changed to metal. Only the tailgate opened. The cabin has not changed.
For severe climatic conditions of the Far North, a special modification of the MAZ-500 was developed, which was carried out for five years (1965-1970). The cabin had additional insulation, diesel fuel along with engine oil was heated by a special trigger, there was a spotlight on the roof of the cabin.
To date, the model range of MAZ airborne vehicles includes thirty-four modifications.
Special machinery
Together with dump trucks and trucks, the enterprise produces equipment with a specific purpose. Their story began simultaneously with other types of technology.
Since 1959, the TZ-200 tanker truck has been manufactured for seven years. A single-section tank with a volume of 7.8 thousand liters was installed on it. Its filling (release) was carried out by means of a centrifugal vane pump.
A prototype K-51 truck crane was manufactured on the MAZ-200 chassis. He had a load capacity of 5 tons. Its serial production began in 1951. Later, the K-61 model appeared, the carrying capacity of which increased by one ton. All versions of truck cranes were equipped with a screw jack, which was carried out manually. The crane mechanism was driven by a mechanical drive.
In 1966, the MAZ-509 car appeared, which was designed to transport wood. Over time, the range of timber trucks of the enterprise has expanded significantly. Among them - MAZ 6303A8-328 (sortimentovoz), MAZ 641705-220 (timber carrier)
To date, there are nine modifications of concrete mixers. A mixing drum is installed on the vehicle platform. It begins to rotate after the car begins to move. One of the best representatives of this series is ABS-9 YES (based on MAZ 551605).
For utility services, seven modifications of equipment have been developed and produced. Among them are the KO-523V vacuum machine and the MKM-35 side loading garbage truck.
It has been taking too long to list all the models of equipment manufactured at the MAZ enterprise. The range is too large. It is enough to understand that the goods of this manufacturer due to high quality managed to conquer most of the market in different countries.
