Connecting washing machines in the home

Correct connection of washing machines is the key to their quality and safe operation. Doing it yourself is completely easy, the main thing is to follow certain rules and the sequence of actions. The installation of the automatic machine is conditionally divided into several stages: preparation, connection to communications and the mains, adjustment of the legs and checking the operability of the equipment.

Preparation for installation

Before you start connecting the washing machines, all fasteners and transport parts are removed. After removing them, the tank should take its normal position, that is, arbitrarily β€œhang” on the shock-absorbing springs. The holes remaining after unscrewing the mounting bolts should be closed with plastic plugs, which are equipped with the machine. Remember that all this work is carried out in the first place, because if the switch-on is made with transport parts not removed, they will damage the drum and can completely damage the device.

Connection of the washing machine: drain

The next step after preparation is to connect the machine to the drain lines. In models without a special non-return valve that allows water to pass in one direction, manufacturers install an exhaust hose (pipe) at a certain height. The water drainage system of the automatic washing machine and the sewage system is connected using an additional siphon, which must be installed. The drain hose is securely attached to the sink drain system, eliminating the slightest leakage.

Of course, some connect the washing machines in a more simplified scheme, namely, they fix the drain pipe on the side of the washbasin or bathtub. However, this method is quite unreliable, because you can accidentally touch the hose, and then the flood can not be avoided. Therefore, the water drain must be stationary. After completing this work, it is necessary to check the location of the hose - it must be straightened and not have bends. Then it needs to be fixed firmly to the back of the washing machine.

Connection of washing machines to the plumbing system

Special flexible hoses with a diameter of ΒΎ inch are ideally suited for this. Connecting the machine to the water supply can be done in several ways. One of them provides for a separate valve. It is installed on the desired section of the water supply by cutting new threads. Such a faucet allows after each washing to block the water on the washing machine. When installing it, care should also be taken to install a protective filter mesh that will prevent small particles from entering the machine into the machine. Such a filter, of course, should be cleaned periodically.

The second way is to connect the washing machine to the water supply through a conventional mixer. However, this option can be used as a temporary solution, because it is rather inconvenient. Firstly, you have to buy a long hose, and secondly, each time before washing, you will need to remove the tap from the mixer and connect the hose there.

Final stage

After performing these operations, the washing machine must be firmly installed by adjusting the legs. If this is not done, then during the spin cycle it will make a lot of noise and vibrate. Before connecting the machine to the mains, the switchboard must be earthed.
