About the theater
The Chuvash Academic Drama Theater of Ivanov has existed since 1918. It opened in the city of Kazan. At that time it was mobile and bore the name "Chuvash Drama".
The theater migrated to Cheboksary in 1920. In 1933 he was awarded the title of academic.
At that time, the repertoire included only classical works. On the stage he could see performances based on the works of J. Moliere, N. Gogol, F. Schiller, L. Tolstoy, D. Fonvizin, A. N. Ostrovsky and so on. Soon, productions based on plays by Chuvash authors were added to the repertoire.

The name of Konstantin Ivanov was given to the theater in 1959. And in 1977, the institution was awarded the Order of the Red Banner for special merits in the field of art.
Since 1979, the Chuvash State Drama Theater. K. Ivanova operates under the artistic direction of V. Yakovlev.

Producer
Natalya Sergeeva was born in 1971 in the Cheboksary district. In 1993, she received an acting education in Moscow, at the famous school named after M. Shchepkin. After 10 years at the Academy of retraining of workers of cultural and art workers, she received the profession of director.
After graduating from college, Natalya Alekseevna came to work in the Chuvash Drama Theater. K.V. Ivanova as an actress.
