The modes of transport mentioned above are official. Among the huge number of cars waiting at the airport building, there are many illegal cabmen ready to request an order of magnitude more expensive. That is why a taxi should be ordered directly from the official operator’s counter in the arrivals hall. Racks are located at the exit of the airport building.
The local newspapers in Chisinau and other cities have a ton of ads offering pick-up directly to the airport door. This option is much cheaper than a taxi, and is not inferior to it in speed and comfort, however, it is not traced officially and may be unsafe.
