GAZon Next, whose technical characteristics were to exceed the parameters of its predecessor, was developed after the departure of the legendary Bu Anderson, who headed AvtoVAZ. The new Russian truck was released under the leadership of CEO Vadim Sorokin. Moreover, Nizhny Novgorod is not going to stop there and continue to work on new models.
History of creation
In the days of the Soviet Union, the most popular trucks were the GAZ-53 with a lifting capacity of 3 tons and the ZIL-130, capable of carrying cargo weighing up to 5 tons.
After the transition to a market economy, it turned out that the need to use a medium-tonnage truck disappeared. GAZelles, which quickly gained popularity, were able to take on board up to one and a half tons. In addition, they could drive to places where the GAZones and ZIL could not drive, because they belonged to trucks.
Gradually, with the growth of the economy, the volume of commercial transportation grew, and again there was a need for larger cars. The domestic auto industry could not provide a full-fledged model capable of satisfying the needs of the population. Trucks from South Korea and Japan occupied a free niche.
βZILβ with its βBull-calfβ was not able to compete and gradually became practically bankrupt. It was then that the leadership of the Nizhny Novgorod plant decided to work on the revival of the once legendary truck.
The first option was Valdai. The new chassis of the GAZ-3307 with a gazelle cabin did not receive universal approval. After further research on consumer demand for this type of equipment, GAZon Next was designed. The technical characteristics of the resulting car are in many ways superior to their predecessors, which will allow us to hope for its popularity in use in the territory of the Commonwealth countries and beyond.
Specifications
Two diesel engines to choose from allow you to confidently gain acceleration and pull a fully loaded car into any mountain. That is how GAZon Next was created. Reviews from owners who have already tried it on their own experience prove this. One of the power units is the domestic YaMZ 53442 with a capacity of 137 horsepower and a volume of 4.43 liters. The second is an imported product of the world famous brand Cummins with an index of ISF 3.8 e4R. Its volume is 3.76 liters and its capacity is 152 horsepower.

- Onboard "GAZon Next" on a short chassis with a three- or seven-seater cabin.
- CITY GAZON Next, the technical characteristics of which were the same as in the basic configuration. The main difference is the installation of a low-profile rubber on the model , which reduces ground clearance and loading height. The elongated base involves two options for power units and, as in all cases, two different cabs: two- or three-door.
- "GAZon Next Farmer". The main difference is the mandatory presence of three doors, as well as a full tarpaulin or metal van in the rear of the car.
Cost versus competitors
Against the background of competitors among manufacturers of medium-tonnage trucks, GAZon is a confident leader in price comparison. Its closest competitors - ISUZU NPR 75, Mitsubishi Fuso Canter - cost 40 percent more. Therefore, the prospects for good sales in our car are. It should be recalled that the cost of "GAZon Next" from authorized dealers starts from 1,400,000 rubles.
