Cinema "Aurora" is one of the oldest cinema halls in the south of Moscow. Over the long years of its existence, it underwent multiple reconstruction and refurbishment. In addition to film screenings, in the daytime there were numerous fairs of consumer goods, sections for children and adults, and groups for interests and hobbies were gathered. At night, Aurora worked as a youth club.
Unable to compete with modern cinema halls equipped with advanced technologies, the cinema was finally closed and auctioned by ADG Group at the end of 2014. According to the reconstruction project, the building should carry a cultural and educational purpose. It is planned to place here not only shopping and entertainment facilities, but also a cinema.
