Burn ISO image to CD or DVD

There is a special file format called ISO, which is a copy of a DVD or CD with all the information. If you burn the ISO to a CD or DVD, then the entire file structure that was on the original media will be saved. The most common way to get a disk image is to download it from the site. For example, you can easily use such an image in the future to update the operating system itself or any programs included in it.

When beginning to work with disk images, two cases are often found. The first is due to the fact that the user downloads the image, and then writes it to the disc as a regular file. The second is that the image is easily opened by any archiver, so the user unpacks it, and then writes these files. In both cases, nothing will work.

It turns out that it’s quite possible to burn the ISO using standard Windows 7 tools. You should choose the right disc for burning, depending on what type of discs the drive supports, as well as what file size you want to burn. An important factor is the device on which you plan to use the recorded disc. To do this, insert the disc on which you want to record into the appropriate device. Now you should open My Computer. In the explorer, you should find the file that you intend to write, and then double-click on it. If you have a number of recorders, you can select the appropriate one from the drop-down list. Thanks to the proposed option to check the disc after recording, you will be able to find out how successfully this operation went. If there is important data in the image, the integrity of which is a priority, this flag must be checked. After clicking on “Record”, the process will start.

If you do not think that you can burn the ISO to disk using the standard features of the system, then you can use a special program. At the moment, there are a lot of them, only a few can be distinguished: BurnAware, CDBurnerXP, Nero, ImgBurn and others. Let's look at how to burn ISO using the CDBurnerXP application. When you start the program, you will see a list of actions that can be performed. Here you should select the option to record the ISO, and then click "OK". In the next window, select the desired disk image. In the same window you have the opportunity to choose the drive for this procedure and the necessary speed for recording. After all installations are completed, you can proceed. Now you will see a window in which the progress of the procedure will be shown.

To burn the image to disk, you can use the software Nero BurningROM. Its interface is simple and straightforward. When you open the program, select the drive, and then open the project. Next, select the image of interest, click "Open." In the next window, called “Project recording”, you need to configure the required parameters. Clicking on the “Record” button will start the process.

You can burn an ISO image to a USB flash drive. There are two options for this. The first suggests using the Ultra ISO program. Open the image, after selecting the "Self-loading" option, select "Burn hard disk image", while the USB flash drive must be inserted into the port. Next, you need to select a recording method, it is better to dwell on the USB-HDD + option. Now click on "Record". As a result of these simple steps, you will have a bootable flash drive. If you couldn’t write the image correctly, then you can use another option, that is, Win32 Disk Imager. Its use is also nothing complicated, as it has a very clear interface.

As you can see, there is nothing complicated in the procedure of writing an image to disk, especially since there are many programs for this.
