Since September 1986, she worked in the dining room of a school in Kiev. She was hired as a dishwasher. This work brought her considerable benefits. Tamara Ivanyutina kept a fairly large economy. Working in the dining room, she could provide her animals with free food, which remained after schoolchildren with poor appetite. To make it worse, Tamara Ivanyutina periodically added poison to food. She used toxic substances against those who, in her opinion, "behaved badly." The victims of Ivanyutina were those who prevented theft of food from the school cafeteria, allowed herself to make her comments, and generally all those whom she did not like for one reason or another.

Despite the fact that the forensic psychiatric examination recognized her sane, experts noted such traits of the killer’s character as resentment, revenge, and high self-esteem. In the process of investigating her case, it turned out that earlier Ivanyutina had already been convicted of speculation. In the school cafeteria, she got a fake work book. Viktor Stadnik, a chemistry teacher, along with many others who suffered from her actions, noted such traits of her character as arrogance and perseverance, lack of discipline, rudeness.

Poisoning

The story of Tamara Ivanyutina became known when several workers and students of the 16th school of the Podolsky district of Kiev were admitted to the hospital. Doctors diagnosed signs of food poisoning. This happened on March 16 and 17, 1987. Four of them (two adults and the same number of children) died almost immediately. Nine victims were in intensive care. Initially, doctors diagnosed an intestinal infection and the flu. However, after some time, patients began to lose their hair. For these diseases, this phenomenon is uncharacteristic.

First facts

Law enforcement authorities quickly enough found that Tamany Antonovna was involved in poisoning. The investigation began immediately, as it became known about the deaths of students and school staff. Criminal proceedings were instituted. An investigation team conducted interrogations of survivors. It was found that they all felt ill after they had lunch in the school cafeteria on March 16th. At the same time, they all ate a liver with buckwheat porridge. Investigators decided to find out who was responsible for the quality of food at school. It turned out that the nurse-nutritionist Natalya Kukharenko died 2 weeks before the proceedings were instituted. According to official figures, a woman died from a cardiovascular disease. However, investigators doubted the reliability of this information. As a result, exhumation was carried out. Following the study, traces of thallium were found in the tissues of the corpse. Then searches began at all who were related to the school cafeteria. The house in which the dishwasher of the catering department of Ivanyutin Tamara Antonovna did not ignore.

Arrest

During the search, a "small but rather heavy container" was found in a dishwasher in the house. Naturally, its contents interested the investigation team. The container was confiscated and handed over to the experts for research. As it turned out, there was Clerici’s fluid in it. It is a highly toxic solution based on thallium (used in a number of branches of geology). Tamara Ivanyutina was taken into custody. First, she filed a confession, confessed to all the episodes that occurred in the school cafeteria. Such a crime, as Tamara Ivanyutina explained, she committed due to the fact that sixth-graders who dined did not arrange chairs and tables. She decided to punish them and poisoned them. However, she subsequently stated that the confession was made under pressure from investigators. She refused to testify.

New facts

The case of Tamara Ivanyutina became resonant. In the course of further operational measures, new facts emerged. Thus, the investigation established that not only Ivanyutina herself, but also members of her family (parents and sister) for 11 years used a highly toxic solution to deal with people who were objectionable to them. At the same time, they committed poisoning for selfish reasons, and to eliminate people who were unsympathetic to them for some reason. The family received Klerichi's fluid from a friend who was an employee of the Geological Institute. The poisoners explained that they needed thallium to fight rats. A friend herself later admitted that for 15 years at least 9 times passed the toxic solution to Ivanyutina herself, as well as her parents and sister.

Episodes

Tamara's criminal activity began with her first husband. She poisoned a man and got his apartment. After the death of the first wife, Ivanyutin married again. In a new marriage, her parents became victims. The father-in-law and the mother-in-law passed away with a difference of two days. Small portions of thallium were received by the second husband himself. So she kept his sexual activity low. In addition, Ivanyutina hoped to get a house and a plot of land that belonged to her husband's parents. In September 1986, she became a dishwasher at a local school. In addition to the episodes described above, the school party organizer (died) and the chemistry teacher (survived) became victims. They prevented Ivanyutina from stealing food from the catering department. Pupils of the 1st and 5th grades were also poisoned, who asked her for the remains of cutlets for pets. These children survived.

Relatives

The investigation revealed that Nina Matsibora, the elder sister of the main person involved in the case, also conducted active criminal activities. In particular, using the same Clerici liquid, she poisoned her husband and got his apartment in Kiev. Spouses Maslenko - parents Ivanyutina - also committed numerous poisonings. So, a neighbor in a communal apartment and a relative who made a remark to them were killed by a highly toxic liquid. In addition, animals belonging to “objectionable” people became victims of poisoners. The geography of the criminal activity of the family was not limited to Ukraine alone. So, it was proved that a number of poisonings were committed by criminals in the RSFSR. For example, while in Tula, Maslenko Sr. killed his relative. He mixed the Clerici liquid into the moonshine.

Court

It examined the case of 45-year-old Ivanyutina, her older sister Nina Antonovna and their parents - Maria Fedorovna and Anton Mitrofanovich Maslenko. He was charged with numerous poisonings, including fatal ones. The court found that for 11 years, a criminal family, for selfish motives, as well as out of personal hostility, committed murders and attempted intentional deprivation of life of different people with the help of the so-called Clerici liquid, a highly toxic solution based on a potent poisonous substance - thallium. According to the deputy chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, who worked during the trial as a senior investigator on especially important crimes in the prosecutor's office in Kiev, the identified episodes relate to the first criminal cases in which such a connection was recorded in the USSR. The total number of proven facts is 40. Of those, 13 were fatal. Most of the killings (nine) and attempts (20) were committed personally by Tamara Ivanyutina. The process lasted about a year.

Sentence

In her last word, Ivanyutina pleaded not guilty of episodes. While still in jail, she stated: in order to achieve the desired, you do not need to write any complaints. It is necessary to be friends with everyone and treat them. And especially for malicious people to mix poison. Ivanyutina did not apologize to the relatives of the victims, saying that she was not allowed to do this by her upbringing. She regretted only one thing. Her old dream was to buy a Volga car, but it never happened. Ivanyutina was recognized sane and sentenced to death. The accomplices were assigned different prison terms. So, sister Nina was sentenced to 15 years. Her subsequent fate is unknown. Mother received 13, and father - 10 years in prison. Parents died in prison. The year Tamara Ivanyutina was shot was 1987.

Conclusion

During the investigation, Ivanyutina tried several times to bribe an investigator. She promised law enforcement officer "a lot of gold." The unusualness of this case in criminal practice is that the main accused was a woman sentenced to death, and the punishment was carried out. There are only two officially confirmed facts of the use of the death penalty for women in the years of the USSR. In the post-Stalin era, they were shot: Antonina Makarova (Tonka the machine gunner) in 1979 (a collaborator of the Second World War who worked for the Germans and killed one and a half thousand Russian people) and Bert Borodkin in 1983 (a large speculator who killed no one but caused damage million rubles, by previous standards). About the first, even a series was shot where her life and crimes committed are described. For a long time, KGB officers could not find her. And after several decades they nevertheless found, interrogated, condemned and sentenced to death by execution. At present, the case of Ivanyutina is included in educational and methodological publications that are studied in Ukraine as part of criminal law discipline.
