Sheremetyevo is the most famous airport in the Moscow region. It is the largest in terms of passenger traffic in Russia and is still among the twenty largest air gates in Europe.
Studying an airport plan to save time
Now we will consider the plan of the Sheremetyevo airport, which will help us understand the designations of the terminals. There are several of them. They are designated by the letters A, B, C, D, E, F. There is a special complex for various cargoes called "Sheremetyevo - Cargo". At the moment, terminals B and C are not working due to the construction of a new building of terminal B.

The plan of Sheremetyevo Airport includes Terminal A, which serves business aviation passengers. By location, it is located in the north-eastern part of Sheremetyevo and east of terminal C. Terminal B was located near C, namely in the northern part of the airport. The terminal has eight seats serving Aeroflot aircraft. There are also 22 western sector seats serving business aviation aircraft, five eastern sector seats for cargo flights. In June-August 2014, the terminal served passengers of Dobrolet, a more low-cost airline. In September 2014, it had to be closed due to the start of construction of a new building.

Terminal C is located near Terminal B in the northern part. Typically, charter flights are served here. There are racks in the amount of 30 pieces, where passengers check in, as well as thirty-six cabins for passport control, automatic inspection of all baggage and its sorting. In April 2017, terminal C was decided to be temporarily closed in order to integrate it with the new terminal B.
New terminals
The plan of the Sheremetyevo airport also includes terminal D, which is located in the southern part. Terminals E and F are also operating there. Since 2012, the terminal has been considered the Sheremetyevo International Airport. The very first flight was made in November 2009 to the city of Sochi. In 2010, terminal E. began operating. It serves flights of Aeroflot airline partners and some other areas of Aeroflot.
Terminal F is located in the same southern part. It has a station square, hotels, an airport terminal with terapraps, and other industrial buildings.
Airport cargo complex
This complex processes and accepts cargoes, issues their delivery, and provides information on mail air transportation. We reviewed the basic plan of the Sheremetyevo airport. The division into terminals made orientation in the station building convenient. I would like to hope that ease of use, high-quality passenger service will not leave anyone indifferent. Today, everyone can come to Sheremetyevo Airport, buy a ticket and go wherever they want. Successful flight!
