Flight from Russia
Many travelers praise Vietnam's international airports. Where do planes fly from Russia to this country? Regular flights from the Russian Federation are made only to four transnational air hubs, although there are actually 9 of them, as we discussed above. The Russians are given the opportunity to come to these of them:
- Danang.
- Noah Bai.
- Tonsonnyat.
- Camran.
The rest of the international airports - Len Len, Chanto or Can Tho, Fubai, Catby, Fukuok - cannot yet meet the citizens of the Russian Federation with direct flights, but perhaps this will happen in the near future.
From Russia to Tan Son Nhat
The largest of all is Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam). That is, it’s not the Noi Bai air hub that makes the largest cargo transportation, but the airport of Ho Chi Minh City’s largest city.
This is the most equipped and modern aircraft object in all of Vietnam. From Russia, up to 70% of flights arrive here. It has a favorable location - it is 5 km from the center of Ho Chi Minh City. Around it there are a large number of comfortable hotels.
Noah Bai
We continue to consider Vietnam's international airports, where flights from Russia arrive. Noah Bai serves almost the entire northern zone of Vietnam. In terms of size, this is the second air hub, which is located 45 km from the capital Hanoi. By international standards, it is considered very small. But its area and volume is quite enough to serve the flow of tourists directed to the northern regions of the state.
Danang
Da Nang Airport is located in Da Nang in the middle between Tan Son Nhat and Noi Bai air harbors. Near it is the famous beach "China Beach", where many travelers go on vacation. Da Nang Airport is pleased to welcome tourists from the Russian Federation on Vietnamese friendly land.
From Russia to Camran
Arrivals of Russian citizens today are especially frequented in another airport - Kamran. More recently, access was denied to him, since it was a military object. Since 2004, it has acquired the status of a civil air hub, and since 2009, transnational.
Today, both regular flights and charter flights arrive here from Russia. In Nha Trang (the largest seaside resort in Vietnam) you can reach in just half an hour.
Activities
The list of international airports in Vietnam is long. All of these airports have Duty Free shops and Wi-Fi (free). True, the latter can only be used by business class waiting room clients. But many say that it can be "caught" in other halls, rooms.
Upon arrival, every traveler at the airport can apply for a visa. If your stay here does not exceed 15 days, then this is not necessary. You can complete this procedure in the Visas upon arrival window.
In Vietnam, air travel is very cheap. Therefore, if you need to travel long distances within the state, better use the services of air carriers. Indeed, in Vietnam, roads are of poor quality, and buses move at a speed of 40 km / h or less.
Nha Trang (Kamran)
So, what is Vietnam Nha Trang International Airport like? It is located in the small town of Cam Ranh, built by the US military during the Vietnam War. The Kamrani air hub began operating in 2004 after the upgrade, and since December 2009 it has acquired the status of international, as we discussed above.
An air gate is located half an hour from the center of Nha Trang, on a peninsula between Kamran Bay and the South China Sea. The old air hub located in the city currently serves as a training ground and is not available for civilian flights.
The air hub has one terminal. Its geographical coordinates are: latitude 12, longitude 109.22. Has an IATA code - CXR, an ICAO code - VVCR. Despite the presence of one runway, the airport serves more than 2 million tourists a year.
Here, travelers can visit a cozy cafe serving traditional dishes, or take a walk around souvenir shops. There are currency exchange points and ATMs on the territory of the station. Upon arrival at the air harbor, you can book your hotel at a local resort using electronic services.
Phu Quoc
Consider the international airport of Phu Quoc (Vietnam). This is a commercial Vietnamese air hub located in the city of Zyongdong (Kienziang province, Phu Quoc island). The creation of the air gate was completed in 2012, in December. The airport can serve 7 million travelers a year.
The basic passenger flow of the heavenly harbor is the transportation of tourists. On board the ATR 72 , flights are made four times a day to the international Ho Chi Minh City Tang Son Nhat airport. In this direction, during the holidays, the number of flights reaches 10-15 per day.
Today, the tourism industry of Phu Quoc Island is progressing very rapidly. Through the island's only commercial air hub, the flow of passengers is constantly increasing. That is why the provincial authorities adopted a plan to build a new transnational air hub on the island of Fukuok. Its construction was estimated at 970 million US dollars.
The infrastructure of the new terminal is located on a plot of 8 km². The runway was commissioned with parameters of 3000x50 m, capable of receiving passenger aircraft of the Airbus A320 class. Today, construction is completed, and the new air hub began to work, replacing the old one.
Tan Son Nhat Sky Harbor History
We have already said that Tan Son Nhat is a civilian international airport in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon). It was founded by the colonial authorities of France in the 1930s of the XX century, when a small air hub was built in the area of the Tan Son Nyat village. In the framework of American assistance in the 1950s of the XX century, a runway with a length of 2190 m was created.
During the war, Tan Son Nhat Air Force Base was used by the air forces of both South Vietnam and the United States. Until 1975, this air base was one of the busiest on the planet.
For the first time since the fall of Saigon in 2004, on December 9, air links with the United States resumed. A Hong Kong-based United Airlines flight was first flown from San Francisco and then from Los Angeles.
The new international terminal, authorized to serve up to 10 million travelers a year, was opened in 2007, in September. As a result, the throughput of the air hub reached 15-17 million travelers a year. At the same time, the old terminal switched to servicing the original airways.
In 2015, it is planned to commission a new interethnic air hub of Ho Chi Minh City Long Thanh. As a result, Tan Son Nhat will completely switch to servicing domestic flights.
