Unfortunately, starting with the version of Windows Vista, one can notice that quite often there are problems of the “crash” of the system, after which even in safe mode the system hangs after booting (CLASSPNP.SYS is the last component that stops). CLASSPNP.SYS is not loaded: reasons
As for the reasons for the appearance of such an unpleasant situation, there can be quite a lot of them. Usually, even when rebooting using the F8 (Safe Mode) key, the system seems to behave normally. But then suddenly for some reason a certain component, in our case CLASSPNP.SYS, is not loaded in safe mode.
In general, such a phenomenon can be observed, say, in a banal virus infection of a computer system, in violation of integrity or in the absence of the CLASSPNP.SYS file itself, as well as in the event of conflicts with third-party applications or during malfunctioning of the system bootloader.
Windows did not boot (CRCDISK.SYS, CLASSPNP.SYS): consequences
In general, such failures are most characteristic of two system libraries - CRCDISK.SYS and CLASSPNP.SYS. The first is a means of checking the hard drive, the second is responsible for the operation mode of the SCSI hard drive. Violations in their work are simply disastrous. These components are located in the system drivers folder of the System32 directory of the Windows root directory. It is clear that their damage entails negative consequences. When, for example, Windows 7 hangs on loading CLASSPNP.SYS, you can try reusing the bootloader using the F8 key, but only after entering the menu you should choose not the safe mode, but loading the last successful configuration.
In principle, if the file itself is not damaged, that is, the reason is absolutely not connected with this, quite often restoration occurs without any problems. However, not always. It also happens that when you try to roll back, when the recovery options window appears , the system enters into such an endless search. In this state, it can sag for a very long period of time. Checking the system for viruses
If there is a situation where the loading of Windows 7 stops at CLASSPNP.SYS, it is very likely that a virus or infection of your computer or laptop is possible. Actually, it needs to be removed or isolated. But how to do this, because the system does not boot, and there is simply no way to launch a standard antivirus or some portable utility?
Here, universal and perhaps the most effective means of verification come to our aid, which are commonly called recovery disks (Rescue Disk). True, the disc will have to be recorded on another terminal, but its subsequent use to eliminate all kinds of threats in our case is the only possible and correct solution.
The verification utility itself starts even before the operating system starts loading (in the BIOS, you will definitely need to specify the CD / DVD-ROM as the first Boot device). After starting, the program will prompt the user to select the operating mode (load the graphical interface, use some language, execute processes from the command line, etc.). Choose a graphical interface - this is the most convenient way. Now it remains only to start the scanning process (installed by default or with the selection of objects and disk partitions manually). Even if the virus is deep in the system or system memory, there is no doubt that it will be detected and completely isolated or deleted.
Download a file from the Internet or copy the original file from the installation disk
Again, what should I do if no viruses were detected, and again the component stops loading, or does the system reboot to CLASSPNP.SYS? This state of affairs may indicate that this file is simply damaged or missing in the default location. Some recommend replacing it with the original library. There are two options: download the file from the official resource from another terminal or try to copy it from the installation disk, which we will need in any case (even when copying the desired object from a USB device).
Consider the second method, since it is almost completely identical to the first. Except for the fact that copying will be performed, for example, not from a flash drive, but from an optical medium with an installation distribution kit.
As already understood, boot from the disk. After the installer appears on the screen, we do not turn on the installation, but use the command line (it is called by Shift + F10). After that, use the copy command “drive or flash drive”: \ “file path” c: \ windows \ system32 \ drivers to transfer the file to the desired location (the command is entered without quotation marks). After that, you can try rebooting the system and see what happens at boot.
We should also pay attention to the file being copied. Its version should correspond to the capacity of the system, because if you put a file designed for the 64-bit version in 32-bit Windows 7, then nothing will work.
Restore the bootloader
If this does not help, and the situation repeats again and again (CLASSPNP.SYS does not boot in safe mode or in any other way), the problem may be damage to the Windows boot loader and the boot sector. There will have to apply extreme measures. Again, this will require a Windows boot disk or some kind of Live CD. As in the previous version, you need to call the command line, after which to start, set the standard disk check by entering the sequence chkdsk c: / f / r.
After that, you can proceed directly to the recovery of the bootloader. To do this, in the console, you need to enter two main commands in sequence:
- Bootrec.exe / FixMbr
- Bootrec.exe / FixBoot
After that, of course, you can try to restart the system, but it’s better to rewrite the entire boot sector for complete certainty. To do this, use the Bootrec.exe / RebuildBcd command. Now the download should happen in any mode.
If the system has booted at least once ...
Finally, we pay attention to one more point. If the system has booted at least once after applying the first methods, it is possible that conflicts arise between some software. User reviews indicate that, oddly enough, very often this problem occurs through the fault of the Daemon Tools package. Allegedly, changing it to a lite version of Lite fixes the problem.
However, with a loaded system, you can use the DLL Suite utility, which will automatically restore all vital system libraries, including CLASSPNP.SYS.
